gut feeling.

I am a physician but not an orthopedic doctor. But UCL injury was my concern immediately.

Well he threw it a couple times later in the game...just not all that far for a QB. What does that tell you?

short throw...doesnt tell me anything one way or the other
Every fking time this fan base gets hyped for a QB, bad things are just bound to follow afterwards
If G or Trey were giggling on the sidelines, perhaps they should have stepped in & played. Idk what that was, not a good look though

That's the end of his career. He needed all the arm he had which was serviceable in the NFL given his other talents, but if he has to have Tommy John surgery he's done. Feel sorry for him, poor kid. All because Kyle had to be cute and try and block a top pass rusher with a 3rd string tight end on Brock's back side.

This is really cataclysmic. Purdy was looking like our guy, he had the intangibles, flashes of Joe Montana. Now he's gone. Kyle should be too, that was a pathetic showing in and NFC championship game.

it always comes back to blaming kyle lol

david lombardi even blamed the fumbled snap not on josh johnson but on kyle

Its not for sure yet. I'll wait till the MRI before coming to that conclusion. But the fact that he couldn't come back in an NGCCG, is bad. Its the biggest game of the year next to the Superbowl.

Hope he didn't tear his UCL. Otherwise, it's Trey in '23.

Dude they're not healthy and inactive.

It's just incredibly bad luck. Can't remember the last game I saw where a team legitimately had to go to an emergency QB. We played a whole half without the ability to throw a forward pass lol.

Incredible season. Incredible thud of an ending.

I'm a sports PT. The amount of torque on the elbow for those short throws can be passable. Getting in the proper throwing position much like a pitcher puts exponentially more forces on the UCL. And even with a sprain, the ulnar nerve runs right next to it and inflammation can indeed affect the nerve. If he needs Tommy John, he will be back in a year and in no way would his career be over like some other poster suggested.

He did? LOL. OK, that's going a bit too far.
