Yes, I remember the run games of past and Jimmy pushed to the outside to hand off the ball but I don't think that is a slam on Brock at all but being realistic. That's not fantasy stats.

It's totally okay to say he has had a really awesome start with still plenty more to be seen.

Tom Brady threw 1 touchdown in the 2001 playoffs. He didn't even have 150 yards in the superbowl.

Oh and that was enough to beat the "greatest show on turf"

Geeez 22 years ago and the run back to Brady as typical.

With the amount of pressure he took, only 2 sacks. That's pretty damn good.

And taking the sacks is far better than pressing your luck.

For real. Brock had an average of 3.64 seconds before pressure got to him. Our receivers must not have been getting much separation. It would be like a rookie to force passes into tight coverage. Good thing Brock is a 4 year vet.

What is more likely that one of the better pass catching units in the league isn't getting open or the rookie QB is failing to get the ball to them?

What does pass catching have to do with getting open? Also, our pass catchers have had one of the worse drop% this season. So calling them one of the better pass catching units in the league is a stretch. Also, DAL keyed in on CMC and Deebo. Aiyuk was very quite and Kittle was the only receiver who shined.

its okay just to say you think the QB is above criticism.

I never said he was above criticism. If you think receivers were running free and Brock was not seeing them than by all means post them so we can see it as well.

I have no idea... Just like you have no idea. We will find out when jonnydel breaks it down. My only point was you were assuming the QB wasn't at fault, while I would assume when you have some of the best weapons in football (I know, you disagree), that odds are someone is getting open and the rookie QB isn't finding them.

What we do know is that Purdy was getting pressured a lot and very quickly. Hard to throw when that's happening. When he had time, he was very efficient. Someone posted the difference in production between those two circumstances and it was very clear that Purdy was finding the open WR when he had time to.

Many QBs can. Isn't the name of the game to not allow that and what do you do in those situations?

"Many?" Which QB's, exactly? It's harder for QB's to make plays while pressured, that is a fact. Which is why pass rush is so important for a defense to have. This isn't a new concept. Overall we did a pretty good job of protecting Purdy but there were several plays where he had pressure on him in less than 2 seconds. Hard to "find the open man" when you don't even have time to scan the field. Give Dallas a lot of credit, they brought the heat and it worked. Not every game is going to be 300+ yards and 2-3 TD passes. There was nothing "average" about Purdy's game yesterday, unless you're measuring it from a fantasy football/stats perspective.

You're nitpicking and calling home average.

Terrible takes.

Yeah I'm just not seeing anything "average" about what Purdy did yesterday, given the circumstances of that game. Both defenses were playing lights out. Both QB's were under pressure. One folded and made mistakes, the other was calm, cool, and collected and made a lot less mistakes.

Oh and that was enough to beat the "greatest show on turf"

Not sure you are beating Mahomes, Burrow or Allen throwing for 145 yards and 1 TD.

If you don't turn the ball over, you got a good shot

Why not? If your Running Game is explosive and your Defense is shutting the opposition down, then that is more than enough.

You mean the one where Madden said play for OT and he hit money throws all the way downfield for the game winning drive? Not sure if serious

Not really - you can do it with numerous QBs in the playoffs. I was just using an extreme example. Big Ben didn't throw many TDs. The list goes on. I love scoring TDs as much as anyone but to be worried about ? Especially after he just set records for his TD performances.

Good thing Purdy is averaging 235 yards and 2 TDs per Start.

Allen folded yesterday.
