after thinking on this I believe Quinn was trying to goad BCB into forcing plays and trying to press and get frustrated… Glock didn't take the bait and showed tremendous poise in being patient and sticking with the game plan… he really played within himself and took only what the defense gave him… Brocks big cock grew even bigger last night, the game was not too big for him… looking for him to go on the road now in a hostile environment in the biggest stage of his career and perform well no blue pill needed

The road games against Seattle(short week, heated rival) and Las Vegas(gang rival) were really helpful for him.

Yikes, that's insane. THAT is why the gameplan was hyper conservative.
If we were airing it out, we would've either gotten Purdy killed or the Cowboys could've forced an error like a sack and/or turnover.
Yeah, I saw that he was constantly pressured at the game and was surprised he was only sacked 2 times. He played really well given the circumstances. I would expect Kyle to move the pocket more this Sunday vs the Eagles like the play where Purdy hit Kittle for the juggling catch over the middle of the field.

I really do not see what shanahan would be crying about.
He was the one who called 2 runs up the gut to start the drive then called the pass play on third down which is contrary to calling the timeout.
It literally was a shanahan created problem that it went down to 1 second and it was not even a problem because he played it just right and there was still time.
That's why the whole whining by shanny was ridiculous.
The best part of that series was Brock's throws. The worst part was the clock management and play selection.
Everybody's going to whine and say it was conservative but if you wanted conservative just take a freaking knee and get out of there. One of those handoffs was to deebo as I recall and he could have easily fumbled it.
The problem was it was an indecisive halfway take between not knowing if you should take a knee or actually run the two minute offense. So instead you do halfway and hand to deebo which is risky in itself.
Then you waste time on third and short and instead of running it you have him throw which makes no sense after running the time down and calling timeout.
Then after he's successful and somehow gets you to field goal range with only two plays you chew him out for not throwing the ball away fast enough even though there's still time.
Wait I missed this. Kyle was mad at BROCK for what happened at the end of the first half? Lol WTF.
He wasnt mad. He simply said that Brock should have thrown the last ball away faster than leaving ONE SECOND on the gameclock. I agree with him. The post you replied to was overly dramatic and unwarranted.
Ok, I can see why Kyle might have been upset, but Brock knew what he was doing.
We don't know exactly what was said because he was covering his mouth with the play sheet but you could see he was upset.
We also got to see purdy's face which to me looked like he was rolling his eyes. Somebody will have to grab it though.
Even having words to him about a problem that was not a problem after that series seems absurd to me.
Watch both of their press conferences. They talk about it. Kyle even gives explanation for his clock management.
Yep. Posted the link above. Totally invalidates 100% of BoldRedandGold's last few posts.

Coach had clown clock mgmt there, but it's a QBs job to own it he's the guy out on the field executing. I am sure that is what BP did I haven't even seen the clip but knowing Brock, no question.
I don't have the game log in front of me, but IIRC, we ran the ball twice, got to 3rd and 1, and then called our last timeout with like 30 seconds to go, at like midfield.
If we don't convert 3rd and 1, we punt the ball to the Cowboys with less than 30 seconds to go.
I don't have a problem with the clock management---everything about that was calculated. Awkward, but calculated, and definitely conservative. I can certainly see why people would call that a lack of faith in Purdy and/or the offensive line.
It was and players feel that imo. They know in that moment that coach is betting against them. They aren't robots. They get it.
There's truth to that. As an extreme example, it's why we see the Cowboys kicker looking so demoralized to see the coach going for it in usual field goal situations. His case of the yips was probably even worse when Mike McCarthy showed he didn't have any faith in him. (Of course, that's a very understandable situation why McCarthy didn't have any faith in him. 4 missed XP's, smh).
But even still... I think it's fine. Players also know that the head coach has to make these types of decisions. In the same game, Shanahan has showed faith in his QB and offensive line--- 3rd and 15 conversion throw to Aiyuk. A number of plays where it's 3rd and short, and we motion out CMC and have a 5 receiver set and declare we're passing the ball on 3rd and short.

What do you mean? We were fortunate that the game clock operator stopped the clock with 1 second left. Kyle is going to nitpick the smallest details and that's part of the reason why we're in the position we're in.

Yeah I saw. They're like politicians though. It's not like Brock is going to come out and throw his coach under the bus. I'm talking about the in game in the moment reaction.
The fastest that play can get executed is roughly 4 seconds. He took 6. Either way your not getting two more plays in.
The fact that there even were words after the play calling series is dumb.
Yeah Kyle gives an explanation for the play calling doesn't mean it was not stupid (it was).
I did not see his explanation for the time out burned with 7:30 left (also stupid).
I don't see how it's advisable to rip your rookie QB after he salvages your trashy play calling and comes away with points for a non problem. Even if it were a problem it was a shanahan created problem due to the series leading up to it.
Purdy is good under pressure. Kyle is bad at clock management.
I just thought purdy's face was funny when they showed Kyle chewing him out and wondered if anybody else noticed.

Except that none of those decisions were stupid. Just conservative, and left no margin for error.
We came away with 3 points and the Cowboys didn't have an opportunity to possess. That's exactly what they intended, and Purdy scrambled around on the last play when he shouldn't have. Throw it to the receiver as he goes out of bounds, or throw it out of bounds. That's it.
BTW, what happened with the 7:30 timeout? I don't remember what happened there.

Even deebo was saying he was shocked Purdy still had the ball when he turned around. Hahah Purdy got lucky but fortunately he was decisive enough to not blow it.
based on his track record, it's a mistake he won't make again.

It is only okay because we ended up winning. If we lost by 3 everyone would agree it was dumb. Because we were rolling and we did not even get a shot at the endzone.
7:30 left in the fourth team goes into huddle then random timeout.
No rhyme or reason to it. I'm guessing the play didn't get called in on time but that's just a guess.

To me it's on KS. I posted live in the gameday thread kick with :07. With no timeouts running a play there is perhaps not wise. Lil upside and real downside.

.@49ers @brockpurdy13 knows how to throw a ball…probably any kind of ball b/c his mechanics are so sound. He throws with his legs and to to that you need great footwork. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/Zhfsz9c4Ye
