sucks because with one more second Kittle had a shot a catching a pass.

Yeah pass on Dak. I like him, I loved him in college but he's nearly 30 and his game hasn't progressed at all. He's also set to be earning $40 million a year. You could see him start pressing yesterday and forcing things while the nearly undrafted rookie kept his cool and took what the defense gave him.

Oh for sure, if money were a factor I wouldn't trade Purdy for Dak. But just from a talent standpoint, I would rather have him for this playoff run than Purdy. Dak obviously has his warts, and he couldn't make things happen after Pollard went down and it was on his shoulders. But if he had our weapons? I think he'd be the better QB than Brock rn.

I wouldn't take dak. Ever. I'd rather have either Lance/jimmy/Purdy - and I'm not joking at all. Idk why people think dak is so talented. He's ALWAYS trash when it matters and against good teams. There are no excuses for him. He's currently, and has been, on very good teams and is always crap when it matters.

i also think he's an average leader. I didn't think he should of continued starting over Romo his rookie year. Dak isn't a bad qb, just very average and every once in a while - plays great against a bad team. He is what he is and I hope he is a cowboy forever. Lol

Yeah.. i didn't realize how fast the cowboys defense is. Very impressed by their play last night. That's definitely a championship caliber defense, just ours is better. 😈.

what most teams/fans don't realize is that our defenses conditioning is insane - which allows them to play physical and fast all game long, other teams aren't built for that.
Purdy is going to ball against the eagles because he wants revenge against hurts for the loss in college.

Purdy did what he had to do. That Dallas Defense is talented and well coached.
Parsons is a hell of a player.
I like the fact that Purdy showed calm and patience all game. No frustration. Even after the first drive where he couldn´t do anything, he always stayed cool. It´s a PO game, of course it´s gonna be tough. Great QBs stay in the present and aren´t fazed by missed throws, sacks or worse. Purdy is a rookie and he played like a veteran.

Still the Niners O-Line has to be better next week. Nobody on that Eagles D-Line is on Parsons´s level but they´re stacked.
And overall their D-Line is even better than Dallas´s one.
If the O-Line can play all game like the second half yesterday, I think Purdy can beat that Eagles defense specially in the middle of the field. But you have to slow down that D-Line. The run game has to be better.

I think he has a small window for Deebo too.

I'd think the opportunity to go to the Superbowl is greater motivation.

if money were a factor

Money is always a factor. Is Dak nearly $40 million better than Purdy? Not even close.

The gap between them right now isn't that great, let's wait and see what Purdy looks like a couple years from now. My guess is that Dak still won't be any better.

I wouldn't trade Purdy for Dak if Dak had the exact same contract. No F'in way.

I would like to add that 8 of the 11 3rd downs that Brock attempted a pass were 3rd and 7+.

He played a very good, clean game considering the circumstances and defense he was facing. Only the fantasy footballers with weird standards about yards and TD's would disagree.

Just noticed that.

he was under extreme duress but I was an awesome play call. Oline didnt hold up.

Dak is what he is at this point. Purdy has the potential to still get a lot better.
Eagles pass rush could very likely be better, but we should have a ton more success in the run game
The way Purdy played in the 2nd half after a frustrating 1st half is remarkable. He didn't make many great plays but he stayed calm and didn't turn the ball over. He looked a lot more like the guy with experience than Dak did. He did a good job getting rid of the ball when he was under pressure instead of trying to force it into coverage.

Now he has another big task when they go on the road to face a team with the most sacks of any team. (70) Kyle will spend a lot of time making sure Purdy knows where the quick release receivers are. If he can avoid turnovers again the Niners have a good shot.

Dak is actually a little under $50million next year and just over $52million in 2024. Yikes!

Had a wildland firefighting boss years ago who would say "one oops wipes out a lot of attaboys". Dak was oopsing well before Pollard went out and it seems to confirm a suspected pattern. You'd obviously feel better about Dak at $1 million vs $50 million but at some point is relying on a guy who brings his Mister Hyde along to big games worth even a single dollar? I'd take Purdy because I want to have a chance.
