QB Brock Purdy Thread

I think ppl got obsessed with arm strength after Favre. Tom dealt with that s**t too, didn't have the arm of Favre, couldn't throw, weak..blah blah. Even after he won it all, ppl still talked s**t. I was dumbfounded how long people were in denial for in regards to Tom.

11 combined rings is right, Brock doesn't have one...yet
And I don't mean to sound like that person but when I hear arm strength/big arm, after a while, it honestly sounds like comparing d-- sizes. Who cares what the size is, as long as they know what to do with it. Give me the cerebral qb everytime.

Not to say a big arm doesn't have a place, I mean, it can, with the right brain behind it.

Pretty even in my opinion.

Allen is the best QB in the league. I have no idea what you are inferring with those stats.

Football is a team sport. If Allen elevates his team, then you can say that Purdy also elevates his team. Also it seems Purdy has had a bit more success in post season than Allen. Again point being a elite QB elevates his teammates, and if Allen is considered elite - well a 7th round pick like Purdy seems to be in the elite Allen range also.

Those numbers are subjective. I'm not going to act like I remember every Bills playoff game, but it's possible their run game wasn't working and Allen had to sling it more. For many of our playoffs game, our run game was on point. Hence, less numbers from Brock. I think the W-L record is a better measuring stick.

He deserves to be in the conversation for the best QB in the league even if he doesn't have the number of highlight throws required to earn the admiration of the philistines.

Putting down Josh Allen is weird IMO. The guy is a monster and pretending he's not cerebral simply because he's able to do those freak things is also silly.

I love that we have Brock but there is no need to downplay other guys.

Allen is arguably the #1 QB in the NFL right now. He's easily top 3, no debate. Josh Allen is a stud.

Brock is a stud.
Burrow is a stud
Pat is a stud
etc. We dont have to put players down to pick up our players. it isn't a zero sum pie.

This is getting to be a tired argument. Listing stats and showig video highlights isn't changing anyones opinion. I care about how the team does. I don't worry about where anyone has my QB ranked.

I do think it Allen had Shanahan, it would be game over for the AFC. I feel Shanahan would keep him balanced. I do think Buffaloes defense has been a problem for a long time and they struggle to get that right.

I don't see myself as putting down Josh cause I would rather have Brock under pressure. I didn't say Josh wasn't cerebral at all(maybe that was pointed towards the other poster?) just that Brock is more so imo. Josh is definitely talented, no question, nobody looks forward to playing against that guy. Can I just say I prefer BP under pressure?

Why is it automatically a put down when comparing qbs?

I proposed it 1-2 years ago, and some "analyst" proposed it a few weeks ago for after this season:

Would you trade Brock Purdy and multiple 1sts for Joe Burrow? Similar to the Rams trading Goff for Stafford?

Personally I love Purdy but would have to think about it.

no, pass on burrow he is overrated in my book, he plays with front running squads of legendary wide receivers and for some reason gets sacked a ton a lot of that is on him, he doesn't play as fast as brock, he also looks like home alone
