No coaching staff I have seen in 50 years of pro football has been as glib, upfront and unapologetic about publicly critiqueing qb performance as this one. No one does it, no one has ever done it even when starting truly bad qb's. Why? Because the qb starts second guessing everything and plays even worse. And, the other ten offensive starters realize they are waiting at the wrong bus stop.

Anyway it was an old clip that I thought came out last week but it wasn't.

So I hope this is the last time we will have this discussion this season.

And LOL I'm not a real fan because kyle can screw up too and I have no problem starting a discussion about.

I hope yoiur not asking me to burn my John Brodie Gene Washington and Ted Kwalick posters I have in my house for the last 50 years.

Go back to sleep Van Winkle.

We'll wake you up if we win a super bowl, like we used to do when Bill Walsh changed pro football forever as our head coach.
Welp. Take your pick:
1) Had enough of phony fans seeking clicks (Grant Cohn groupies).
Or
2) Old enough to know better in today's digital world, give a frak busted anyway. Full Kittle :D

If you watched those guys live, then for sure you're out of touch on what goes on now.

you're also getting Alzheimers too as Walsh didn't just criticize he actually played musical QB chairs. You also forgot Kyle has gotten the best out of every QB he's coached "QB Whisperer"

How can they be glib and upfront at the same time?
Don't let them get to you. Some fans may have been mistreated as a child and now lash out at authority figures like successful coaches. It's simply a cry for help...

Lol
Well lookie here.

While I've been sleeping like a baby with my conscience clear, the keystone kops have come out en masse to arrest the trouble maker who suggests the kyle & co might be an even more effective staff if they stfu once in a while and stop showing the world how football smarty pants they are.

1) How can they be glib and upfront at the same time?
They are upfront with their misplaced superficial criticism of a qb with some elite qualities.

2) you're also getting Alzheimers too as Walsh didn't just criticize he actually played musical QB chairs.

Here's what skynet has to say about Walsh and Montana, with the prompt:

P: Did Bill Walsh publicly criticize Joe Montana?

R: No, Bill Walsh did not publicly criticize Joe Montana; instead, the legendary 49ers coach consistently praised Montana as a uniquely brilliant player and treated him with profound respect. [1]

While there was occasional media tension and a famous quarterback controversy late in Walsh's tenure involving the transition to Steve Young—as well as some lingering private resentment from Montana years later regarding how his departure was handled—Walsh publicly defended and lauded Montana throughout their time together and in his retrospective writings. Walsh famously viewed Montana not through traditional authoritarian yelling, but as a cerebral "concert pianist executing a symphony." [1, 2, 3, 4]

3) You also forgot Kyle has gotten the best out of every QB he's coached "QB Whisperer"

Kyle gets stats out of QB's with flawed decision making abilities. Is that "getting the best" out of a quarterback? Kyle doesn't build decision makers, improvisors, or pre snap risk takers. He builds players who execute his system and if they take a chance that doesn't work out they'll hear about it on the sideline and in a press conference. That's the reputation that needs to change imo. Keep it all in the qb room and things will work better for the franchise.
Dude, you lost the argument. Just walk away.

Doesn't have an argument. He's just residually butthurt about being wrong about Jimmy. This has nothing to do with Brock.

Exactly
Always interesting to see where Purdy is ranked on subjective vibes-based rankings vs. stats based rankings.

brock is a stone cold killer if he stays healthy 49ers will be hard to beat all these ranks mean nothing, brock just has to stay healthy when you play 9 games you get ranked down and probably deserved, teams don't want QBs who miss big chunks of the season so he needs to put those questions to bed

Reading the QBs ranking by the Execs, the GM and the Coachs, I understand why so many franchises can't draft or develop a QB.
Stafford 2nd before Mahomes and Burrow what are we doing? You want to put Stafford in the top 5 sure no problem absolutely but 2nd?
And that's not even the worst part of this ranking by the way.

I don't think this was a who would you build your future around question. Having the NFL MVP number 2 is more than fair because the question was where do you think these QBs rank out after the season.

but the ranks are just kinda dumb imo, stafford clearly gets bumped up cuz he benefits from adams, puka, mcvay, the system and so forth. it's like darnold he was rank 50 and then put him on a good team he's ranked much higher, well that's just ranking the team more or less not the qb, so it's very flawed
