That year was screwed but we still had a chance at the playoffs. Idk if he has "tightened" back up if he ever even has. He's one to throw it into tight windows for an extra 5 yards rather than dump it off. Which he's proven he can do, its when he's under pressure he forces it more often than just throwing it away that I think a large part of his ints come from

Well he did check down more in 25 (with less games played) than he did the entire 24 season.. so that's a good sign

Exactly, take the sack or throw it at the WRs feet if possible if all else fails, don't force it unless the game is on the line.

Might have been that CMC was healthy all season and all our WRs were hurt, but kudos to him not pushing it down the field more often to backups

LOL. What? Is that one of your aliases? I was curious if this fella had some prior experience coaching QB's. Quit trying to boss the board. Thanks

Self awareness clearly not a strength of yours.

Dude, quit stepping in your own crap. I asked a question. You attempted to shut me down with your "lighten up" comment. Stay in your lane pal and we'll be fine.

stay in your lane that's what coach should have done

Yup, definitely zero self awareness. Here's a post from you yesterday attempting to 'boss' the board:

You weren't asking a real question. You were asking for credentials because you read an opinion you didn't like. Maybe quit being a hypocritical baby.

Your question implies you have to have NFL credentials to criticize an NFL player. I'm a fan of 20 years and know football quite well. I gave video examples where he made bad situational decisions. If you want to disregard criticism and video evidence because it came from a poster board maybe just stick to watching Cam Newton on YouTube

Everybody who understands English knew what he what he was doing.

You don't throw a Hail Mary into double coverage on 2nd down with over a minute left on the clock with the season on the line. You don't force it on 3rd down when you're in field goal range to tie. He for some reason wants to play hero ball and it's bitten us in the ass more than once. He has the situational awareness of Brett Farve

Please post when he did those things you speak of…

Yes he's had moments of playing hero ball when there wasn't a need for it but he's also curbed that in the second half of last season substantially and he's also made a lot of really good plays for us playing hero ball.

So since you brought up very specific scenarios and decided to bring up Brett Favre a guy who couldn't be any less like Purdy in many ways, please do post when Brock has done those specific things.

I already have before and just did with the one in Seattle. 5:45 season on the line he throws it up for grabs on 2nd down. The back coverage wasn't as tight as I thought but still a terrible decision and bad throw

So you think it was wise to force it into coverage instead of tie? Okay let's say you're right because "we had moody" throw it away and go for it on 4th don't force it to your 3rd string TE

So you're bringing up plays from 2024 to talk about 2026? Ok…

That game was a disaster on many levels including rain conditions that even made Stafford look terrible. You painting as that him throwing it up to end the season is ridiculous when he had all sorts of issues with skill players around him all year long, including Deebo dropping a would be TD a few drives earlier in that game.

I do wish Brock didn't make that throw but you must have forgotten what Kyle had to say about that moment considering the 49ers felt Jennings was interfered with on that play and basically expected a free play that wasn't called. Now you can make the claim that the risk isn't warranted unless you see the flag thrown but it's still not what you paint it as with Brock just chucking it up in YOLO mode.

Also similar situation to the Seattle game from last year. You play for the tie and the other team gets an opportunity to win with a FG. Rams btw got their FG after and Seattle would have as well had Brock not allowed Tonges to make the play for the TD. Him being a 3rd TE doesn't mean much when the starting TE and 5 of your top 6 WRs are out of the game…

I encourage you to go back and check how many of Brock's picks were truly hero ball/terrible decision type turnovers.

How many times do you think Brock has thrown a pick to save himself from getting sacked?

He did make questionable decisions in 2026 yes. You asked me to provide what I was talking about again so I did. My goodness you made so many random excuses for that blatant bad decision whether it be a phantom flag injuries or the rain

*I already answered your 2nd paragraph, even if you're afraid of leaving them with a little over a minute on the clock, he still should have thrown it away and then go for it rather than throwing into coverage to our 3rd TE

You came in here making wild claims based on something from a 2024 season where little went right for the team. That's a you problem.

What you see as excuses is context of the play and reasons why an NFL QB makes a decision that to you appears to be terrible.

Unlike you I actually went back and looked at Brock's interceptions from 2024 and 2025 seasons and the majority of them were nothing like you described.

Also Brock cleaned up the hero ball stuff in a big way in the 2nd half of last season…which by my calculations is the most recent evaluation we have of him. So while you're out here screaming about a play from 2024 like he just chucked it up into triple coverage in the red zone that's not actually what happened. QBs also don't get to make decisions to go for it on 4th down. They have to make the play when it's there to be made. You sitting here complaining that Brock actually made a play to win a key divisional game is absurd. He did exactly what you complained about. It was 3rd down and he made a play. A near INT doesn't mean a thing when the play is actually a TD that wins the game.

If you want to make casual takes built on generalities that are not based on reality then don't be shocked when you get questioned on it.

I mean throwing it up for grabs "hoping" the ref throws a flag isn't smart and if the rain really was an issue all game then why did he throw it deep on 2nd down? Your excuses don't add up.
I know QBs don't make the decision to go for it on 4th down but it would be wise to run it back rather than throwing it into super tight coverage. Are you implying Brock took it into his own hands because he didn't trust Moody?

So I went to go look at all of his ints myself and this is what I found

There are some that got tipped, bad communication, a few where the DB makes a play but bro almost half of these are him throwing it into coverage on 1st and 2nd down with quite a few of those that were in the waning 4th quarter or in/near field goal range
