That's what an elite QB does.
Purdy's superpower is his processing. As he gets further into his NFL career there will be less and less things defensive coaches can throw at him that will surprise him.

That's why I think had Purdy seen that look from KC/Spags in the SB this season he would've made the right read. Hard to do that when you're a young QB.

My biggest concern is our OL. If they can hold it down and we have our top WRs on the field I expect a big season from Brock.
I heaqrd Purdy has only thrown one INTso far in camp. I don't know if that means Brock is throwing well or if our secondary sucks. We didn't have many INTs last year. Only 6 all year.

If you've been following camp reports the corners have actually gotten a lot of praise overall. So has Brock.

Sometimes both can be playing well.

The issue is that practices and intersquad games are against our own players. So If one side shines then the other side is getting beaten. I don't put a lot of stock in intersquad stuff because of that. If you went around and read the reports from every team I'm pretty sure they would all be fairly positive. For me the most important things from camp are how are players coming off of injures moving. Are rookies looking lost or are they picking up the system quickly. How are free agents fitting in. Those are the things I pay attention to the most..

Better reflection of where each group stands will be when the joint practices happen.

The DBs are intercepting some of the other QBs' passes.

Yup, depends on the quality of execution.

brock can throw a dime (excellent route by WR) but defenders play it spectacularly - whoever gets its it wins but it's a great rep for both. You can't win them all and you can't beat them all.

that's what makes these reports hard to fully take in, from reporters, cause we aren't there to see the actual execution and how each party played in it.

just think like when you're watching a game we miss a third down throw but you're like "damn that was an excellent play by the DB".

Sure but to a degree. If coverage is tight and the QB is simply able to get the ball to a great spot where the WR makes a great play that's a win all around.

One thing you have to remember is our guys know each other for the most part so the offense will always have an advantage in that regard because they know the play and the QB can find holes in the defense or if the corners have great coverage either makes the crazy throw(not really hurting anything but pride with turnovers in camp) or dump it off.

I always say you want to see your players look good in camp/preseason but end of the day it all goes out the window.

We have everyone going crazy over how Carson Beck played last night...who knows maybe he's going to be the Cardinals version of Purdy. But preseason will not be the test for that. I still remember going into 2023 season how confident Steeler fans were cuz Kenny Pickett had a perfect passer rating in 3 preseason games and was 13/15 199 yards 2 TD/0 INT.

We remember how that game and his overall season went right?

So while it's better to see your guys look good of course, it's not really anything until the real bullets are flying.
