3. Bo Nix
4. Sam Darnold
5. Drake Maye
6. Patrick Mahomes

one reason i have us as champs I think stafford is getting past the sell by date, i think these lists are pretty much impossible to do as nfl is so situational, darnold is a good example ppl told me he was not good enough to be our backup and they are scared he if he had to play for us and then he wins more games than any QB last 2 seasons and the bowl in our stadium, it's all about getting hooked up to good situations, steve young proved that also

Totally agree with you. The fact that Darnold was good in two different systems (granted he had Justin Jefferson and JSN) is the reason he is one of my top 5 QB's. And you could kind of say the same for Caleb Williams, in two different systems he showed he can make good decisions. In Williams first and second seasons he thrown only 13 picks, IMO that's damn good.

People are entitled to have their rankings based on whatever they want. That's the beauty of rankings...you can't really argue with someone's opinion.
But I will say "two different systems" is a stretch. He's been in pretty much the same system since he got to the 49ers.
Also let's not forget similar to Goff when Vikings needed Sam to step up and carry the offense it wasn't pretty. Brock has had some ugly games for sure but he's never looked shell shocked out there like those guys have. Putting Darnold and Goff ahead of Brock to me is a major no no...but Kolohe is entitled to his opinion like I said.
Tho not having Lamar or Burrow in the top 10 to me is trolling.

good points,
on sam, if you did ranks a couple years ago he would be QB40 or QB50 and ppl were running around here telling me he's trash, well don't think so, reality called and did a fact check on that. this is all really a big credit to shanny and brock, shanny knew he had game and it's open knowledge that being around brock helped sam there is no question,
we really have a good environment here it's one of the gold standards in NFL look at mac jones, he had some heroic games for us last year that's the environment kyle has built, where guys are open, plays are there to be made and careers get rehabbed,
that's why we don't need to spend a high pick on QB, just let other teams do that and we can plug guys in when they wash out someplace else, think baker, sam, mac jones and so on.. lot of qbs could look good in SF, except if your name is trey lance

I still would pump the breaks on Caleb. He had a pretty good year last year, but it wasnt great by any means other than not throwing interceptions (which I have always believed any NFL QB could do if they prioritize ball security over production). This is also putting aside that he threw almost as many interceptions in two playoff games as he did in all of the regular season.
Caleb has the potential to be really good NFL QB. But he still has to prove it.

Obviously, just a system QB.
CBS Sports' Jordan Dajani recently ranked the NFL's best and worst quarterback situations entering the 2026 season, placing the 49ers at No. 1.
"Brock Purdy is the coolest story in the NFL," Dajani wrote. "The final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft came in and led the 49ers to the NFC Championship game as a rookie, despite receiving his first professional start in Week 14 that year. In Purdy's first full season as a starter in 2023, he set the NFL record for most yards per attempt (9.6), set the franchise record for passing yards in a season (4,280), made the Pro Bowl, and finished fourth in MVP voting."
Dajani also highlighted Purdy's career 104.0 passer rating, which ranks first in 49ers franchise history—a remarkable accomplishment given the organization's rich quarterback tradition
"A whopping 58.3% of his third-down and fourth-down attempts went for first downs in 2025," Dajani continued. "That was the highest success rate by any quarterback over the past 35 seasons. Kyle Shanahan obviously deserves credit for that stat as well."
