I was referring to the dread we all felt when he dropped back to pass during that stretch of play where he threw int after int. Same dread we all felt when Moody lined up to kick a gimme.

This is what i dont get. He stunk in '24. He stunk to start 25. Everyone was posting how they wanted him to get back to pre '24. He finally does and the "receipts" come out.

Counterpoint- he didn't stink in 24 or to start 25….

Some of you clearly couldn't understand what playing with a turf toe looks like or how facing a top defense missing key players looks like.

Lolol yup.

I've never doubted Brock since his second start vs Seattle Occasionally, he will have an int that makes me smh but naa, never doubted him as a qb.

I do wonder though, even with his talent..if we will be able to get an SB..with everything else going on with the team, changes, age of some players, injuries..etc. It's a bummer, cause I have always believed this is the qb that can get us the Six. Cruddy that his talent probably won't be fully embraced by others until he gets an SB..but if that never happens..still some of the best football I have seen from a qb in decades.

I am still frustrated with Shanny's decisions vs Seattle..some were so bad and stupid..I wondered if this sport is rigged again. You got the qb of your dreams..and what the hell do you do..on 4th and 1? Two scores down? I still can't believe it lol.

Should have won it in Vegas. It was there, right there.

If we're being real Brock had his opportunity to put that SB away and didn't. I don't blame him cuz he was a 2nd year player and Spags has gotten some top tier QBs on similar plays but it was there if he makes the right read/throw.

But also hard to blame him when the guy never left the field with a deficit. Defense and special teams killed us(more special teams)

I'll say I was a huge supporter in the beginning, but then soured on him after the constant mistakes in 2024. I defended him against people until I didn't have a defense anymore in 2024. After week one, I was feeling like nothing had changed. This year, he proved he is the guy, and a top 10-12 QB at MINIMUM.

Even if he stinks next year, he's already proven to me he can turn it around.

All good. Respect you for owning it. We're allowed to change our opinions with more information available.

I think that Seattle game translated even better in hindsight. Obviously their defense got better as the year went along but still - playing in Seattle against that defense then losing Kittle and JJ in that game with Puni coming off the PCL injury and Trent being rusty and we moved the ball on them consistently.

Even the last 2 games Brock was far from our problem. Box score looked ugly in both games but he tried his best to get us points in those games. Not much cooperation or help unfortunately.

Brock hasn't been the issue at all this year, he's been a baller. Now, last season, he definitely cost us a few games from pressing too much. He got away from the feeling like he had to make something happen this year.

Huge difference. We saw more calculated risks than just YOLO stuff.
Yeah as really need to correct some errors for sure before 2026 week 1 hits.

I agree give Brock some legit NFL WR's and he can win even with the offensive line we now have.
After watching the nfc championship.

Purdy needs to be better at getting rid of the ball quicker.

Stafford got rid of the ball quick and they had some success
After watching the game last night, Purdy needs to get taller and get a cannon for an arm.

Laughable. Lynch should be fired just on that contract alone. I detest Purdy for knowing he stinks and still bargaining for Josh Allen money. Get that bum off the franchise I live and die for.

Stafford gets rid of the ball faster because he has receivers who can get off the line and separate quickly. Pearsall is about the only guy we have on the roster right now who has proven he can do that and he was hurt all year. Upgrades at that position are definitely in order, whether it's through the draft, bringing in free agent, or having Watkins or Cowing emerge.

Helps when you have WRs who can beat coverage quickly. Rams OL played a MUCH better game than ours did. Rams running game also did a hell of a lot better. All that plays a factor. As does the fact that Stafford has one of the best arms in the league.

All this. In the playoffs especially, you can't be one-dimensional like the Niners really were their last game with their lack of legit receiving options. Tough defenses will each your lunch if you are. As you mention, the Rams running game doing much better, averaging 5.2 yards per carry, all ties directly to its OL playing well against a very talented Seahawks DL, their WRs being able to pretty regularly beat coverage, and their RBs doing their job getting those yards.

Stafford at his age is still amazing with his all-around arm talent. Talk about a QB who literally can make any type of throw. Will say, though, the Rams better hope & pray he comes back next year and also stays healthy if he does continue playing.

He'll be back…still can't believe they did the whole "he's got a back problem" then he never misses a game and goes on to have that type of season. I really wanted to see McVay have to coach Jimmy G as his starting QB.

This is why I dnt blame him lol. Shanny made stupid f**king decisions in that game (I know but he did, idc what anyone says or proclaims lol), he is mostly who I blame. He makes the dumbest decisions in big games. No excuses.

The guys saying he needs all stars to do consistently will are proving to be right.

He's a mid QB. He's an NFL starter but he's not top 10, he's not elite, he be needs things to go right. He can't pick a struggling team up and will them to victory like the great QBs can.

This team still has yet to find a franchise QB. Haven't had one since Young.

He is nothing without the supporting cast. I hate that it's become abundantly clear.. the haters who said this have been proven right..

I don't know why people couldn't see this after last year's play. I like Purdy. Seems like a good dude. He's definitely a NFL caliber QB but he's far from a franchise QB which is what this team needs now the defense isn't elite and the offense lacks explosive players. Everyone is old. Kittle, CMC, Trent, Juice.

Future is bleak, he never was a franchise qb, nor is he the answer , he will not win a superbowl IMO, with that said to me, we still need a qb

Worst thing you can do to prove a point is take someone's comments from the gameday thread. Raw emotions while in the moment do not necessarily equate to how one feels about a player or coach. I've posted numerous times in gameday threads that Kyle called a great game or make a great call. And I think he sucks balls at head coaching.

Purdy needs to learn to make the adjustment and take what the defense gives him in these critical games when his guys struggle to get open deep rather than stay looking for the big play. So times the as answer is to just keep the ball moving.
