Brock showed once again he can get it done without the "avengers" and as long as the defense isn't straight swiss cheese...even though they looked like it in that Colts/Bears games.

We have the QB, we have the HC. Have to right the ship on defense and at least bring in decent skill players who are consistent and provide versatility on offense so defenses like Seattle can't have it easy.

Dang, I will eat crow. I forgot how emotionally charged I got to make those comments above. But I will own up to it. I'll say I was a huge supporter in the beginning, but then soured on him after the constant mistakes in 2024. I defended him against people until I didn't have a defense anymore in 2024. After week one, I was feeling like nothing had changed. This year, he proved he is the guy, and a top 10-12 QB at MINIMUM.

Even if he stinks next year, he's already proven to me he can turn it around. Will call the good and bad for what it is, but overall, he is a game-changing, playmaker at QB, one of the best in the league right now. And I'm glad he's our guy.

I think that Seattle game translated even better in hindsight. Obviously their defense got better as the year went along but still - playing in Seattle against that defense then losing Kittle and JJ in that game with Puni coming off the PCL injury and Trent being rusty and we moved the ball on them consistently.

Even the last 2 games Brock was far from our problem. Box score looked ugly in both games but he tried his best to get us points in those games. Not much cooperation or help unfortunately.

Context matters fooz. I am utterly surprised someone quoted me in an attempt to shame me. Lulz - not going to happen. I was referring to the dread we all felt when he dropped back to pass during that stretch of play where he threw int after int. Same dread we all felt when Moody lined up to kick a gimme.

Lol meh. We all get emotional during the games. Purdy silenced all the doubters—including me—during the final stretch of the season. Here's hoping he continues to play well next season and beyond.

Major respect for owning it OTC. Its awesome when people can come off their opinions when presented with new info. Thats why my respect level for Furlow went way up after years of battling with him. This is what i dont get. He stunk in '24. He stunk to start 25. Everyone was posting how they wanted him to get back to pre '24. He finally does and the "receipts" come out.

That chart makes me laugh. It makes me somewhat cry that people buy into it completely.

He didn't stink vs Seattle though. It was just Jacksonville. Appears a lot of that was because of the toe.

Brock is just a guy who will throw picks that ya have to live with to get the playmaking ability. I'll take that over having a guy who can't playmake and needs the scheme to carry him.
