I think this is a perfect game to figure out who can look at QB play objectively and without simply watching the box score.
Brock's stats and total point output shows bad QB play however the reality is Brock played his ass off out there against simply absurd odds.
Obviously as is usually the case he wasn't perfect but he was doing his best to keep our drives alive amid heavy and unrelenting pressure, guys in his face and receivers who were giving him no favors.
The pick I was livid with…not so much with Brock tho. Disgusting effort by Farrell to allow that ball to be intercepted. Forget the reception, that ball should've been an incompletion at worst.
It just got worse from there without any help.
At minimum the 49ers have their QB to build around.

For most fans it's obvious Brock is an excellent qb. Qb play around the league is pretty abysmal tbh.

LMAO!!
Ball placement, looking Defenders off, timing, preparation, movement...these are thing all the great ones do to help their recievers get open and create seperation. Taking 10-20 yard drop backs absolutely kills timing unless you have the athletic ability and arm strength to overcome the disruption in play design like Mahomes does.

I seem to recall a couple of years ago some people around here were saying they would rather have CJ Stroud than Brock. What's he had in his last two games, something like 10 turnovers? As opposed to Brock who had a two-game stretch where he accounted for 10 TDs. Brock isn't a problem this team has to fix. They need to revamp their receiver's room or hope that the guys who have been MIA through the start of their careers, step-up and show out.

Brock will never be in that class of QB. He's not Mahomes or Allen. But he is tops in that second tier of QBs. Give him a system and he will execute. Some ppl compare him to Favre bc he's a gunslinger. But Favre was closer to Mahomes and Stafford with his throws. Brock is closer to Brad Johnson or Rich Gannon type of quarterback with better agility.

Kurt Warner has compared Brock to himself several times, which is cool

Yea that's a good comparison but Warner wasn't a gunslinger. He didn't attempt too many WTF passes…

That pick 6 might be the most impactful play in Superbowl history. Ouch.

Def sucked watching it. Didn't want to see the Steelers get that 6th trophy at the time. That was one of the great Super Bowls though.

Purdy is much better than Brad Johnson.
