I was a Brock doubter early in the year but he showed me that he has "IT". The guy isn't big and doesn't have the strongest arm, but he has big game pocket awareness and accuracy. Get him a true WR1 and interior OL and the guy will flourish.
We cannot have another season of being unable to run the ball. That completely throws off the entire offense.

That starts with improving the o-line. They have to upgrade at center. They can't trot Brendel out there anymore. He's just not good.

If we got an elite Oline Brock would get fat because he would not have to run around anymore. The Oline has been a festering sore for the last decade and aside from Williams has not really had any talent worth keeping long term. I look at the 2019 SB loss and don't so much blame Jimmy G as I did the Oline. They were turnstiles when it came to pass protection.
There is lots of work for our selectors filling a number of key positions. Receivers, RBs, corners and pass rush are all priorities.
I would think CMC is still elite but our run blocking is ordinary. We need another great RB as CMC has not really declined rather than the other teams watch him like a hawk and he is used too often and is predictable. Oline improvement would help and it is noticeable CMC and our run game is so so when Kittle is on the bench.

Kid played his heart out. That's all you can ask for. He was pretty much the entire offense. The INT was on Farrel even though probably Brock's only poor decision of the night. Outside of that he had a couple unreal throws and some Houdini stuff. He did enough. Just wasn't meant to be. Darnold had 106 net passing yards and his team put up 41. lol. Just is what it is. Luck ran out.

An upgrade at center would be fine but he wasn't the weakest link. Left guard is a bigger need. O also think they need to draft a future replacement for Williams if there is someone they think can fill that spot in the next year or two.

I thought he played quite well in the first half.
In the second half, giving the score at that time, he had to try to make something out of nothing. CMC was mostly not playing, so he only really had Pearsall who was clearly not at 100%, and Jennings who isn't nearly at his best this season after the hold out. He had absolutely no chance.

Not much a QB can do when the OL are being bullied and you don't really have a legit #1 receiver out there than can get separation.

Imagine what CJ Stroud would've looked like last night in place of Brock

Sometimes the QB needs to create separation.

The $260M investment standing behind that less than average OL needs protection. I don't know if an OL draft (3 or 4 taken in the first four to five rounds) is necessary but, as I have always said, the QB can't throw the ball sitting on his butt. The teams in the NFC playoffs have bolstered their defensive lines and it showed last year in the Super Bowl and this year with the Rams and Seattle. Capable offensive linemen are needed to keep Brock Steady clean. If Kyle and Lynch can't get this through their heads, they are taking a gamble with the Golden Boy

Brock is clearly the best QB from the 2021 to 2023 draft class.

Heck he ran for 413 yards trying to buy time that's a lot of separation.
