QB Brock Purdy Thread

Sometimes you can't just run around like a chicken and start taking what a team is giving you, he's not Mahomes even though he emulates him.

So just force balls to players who arent open. Got it.

God forbid he moves around and tries to make a play.
We should remember this offense was to start the season with Brandon Aiyuk and Ricky Pearsall along with Kittle and CMC. The fact we did as well as we did is a great testimony to how hard the rest of the guys played.

Then there is Purdy trying to play on one foot…

I can't blame Purdy for this game but holy f**k in the last 2 games against the Seahawks he had checkdowns open in almost every pass-play but he kept ignoring them because he was too busy trying to be the hero with long throws to covered receivers.

I like Purdy but his type of play isn't sustainable against great defenses.

I also watch the game on the radio.

Those checkdowns were only good for 2-3 yards. Can't move the ball that way.

Hahhahah
Tonight the Seahawks have the equivalent of what would be the highest pressure rate in the league this season, while also blitzing at what would be the lowest rate in the league this season (by a lot). 47.4% pressure rate on just a 10.5% blitz rate.

With their secondary to hold down the back end and a conservative offense, they will win a lot of games.

The 55% is really misleading as well. Had to throw the ball away a lot.The hail Mary, Multiple drops, The INT a guy not even putting an effort to catch a contested ball. The only thing you could potentially question about Purdy's performance tonight was if he was to hesitant or not seeing open guys. And from what I watched tonight, I don't think he was.

Can't put the game on Purdy. We were completely outclassed from top to bottom.

I still think your comment that we are a 4-6 win team without him is bizarre, considering we actually went 5-3 without him. I bet we're better than 1-8 in the remaining games, lol.

*my apologies… you did not make the comment I was referencing.

He would have been steamrolled trying to hold out against that pressure in the passing game.
Proud of Brock and this team with what they have overcome. Let's get better next season.
