Harbaugh is a completely different type of coach than Kyle. Harbaugh is a culture builder. A big rah-rah type. Kyle is an offensive guru that can be a bigger help to his QB and the offense in general. Harbaugh was a QB but I wouldn't call him an offensive genius. He stuck with Greg Roman forever until someone convinced him after the season that his system wasn't working for Herbert.

I'd say Kyle has done a pretty good job of being a culture builder as well. That's why we had former players who are technically on another team show up for our playoff games.

I hate how generous how Purdy is...Christmas was like 2-3 weeks ago, but he keeps on giving the ball to the other team. Its a New Year Brock lets keep the footballs this time.

Well Harbs has had Justin Herbert, basically all the qualities physically in the qb department as you would want and has done nothing with them for 2 years. Not saying he can't do anything next season, but he's had 2 years with that team and hasn't improved from what he came here to replace. Herbert 0-3 in the playoffs and some say he's even played worst than with Staley in the playoffs....

There's no question the injuries on their OL hurt them in a big way. Losing your two elite tackles will have a major trickle down effect but Chargers still had a ton of talent on the field.
McConkey, Jefferson(who took a big step forward this year), Keenan Allen and two promising rookies in Tre Harris and Orande Gadsden II. Surely a QB as talented as Herbert should be able to play better with those players.

59% of Brock Purdy's 3rd/4th down pass attempts go for 1st downs this year, the highest rate by any QB all-time (as far back as record keeping goes)
— Doug Clawson (@doug_clawson) January 17, 2026
Let's hope we see that tonight.

I think he had to stop doing it. Supposedly injecting ice into his veins might have contributed to his UCL injury and the other arm injuries he suffered.

THIS IS ABSURD:#49ers quarterback Brock Purdy nearly has DOUBLE the amount of playoff victories than former #Panthers star quarterback Cam Newton.

Purdy in just four seasons: Five wins
Newton in his 11-year career: Three wins
Cam has called Purdy a "game-manager" for a while. pic.twitter.com/dDQjienzVQ
