Pretty much this. The game plan didn't do him any favors also. Seattle was all over everything.

The offense just played terrible as a whole. Was Purdy hesitant or did he not see the open players? Or were players just not getting open? From what I could tell it was mostly guys just getting a lack of separation all night. There were how many instances of some guy he threw to with a defensive player draped all over him. Maybe it was play calling. I don't know. it is not the first time over the years where this has happened. Where when playing a good defense are WRs struggle to get separation. Not saying Purdy played well but I wouldn't put this one on him either.

No time and nobody open within that time frame. We needed Ricky bad. He's a real threat and i don't think Kittle was 100% either.

He doesn't have arm strength. Incapable of driving a ball hard and ln target on a rope. He's was buns all night. Your 250m max QB was the worst player on the field. He was abysmal and sickening to watch. If that dude never plays another down of QB for the Niners o would be perfectly fine.

Good defense's just makes Brock look like a 7th rounder. Kyle needs to help him out more!

If you think the loss is on Purdy you surely should stop watching football. Purdy did all he could with that D making life miserable.

I watched it and he was throwing it high or behind his receivers all night long.

Just cuz you watched the broadcast doesn't change anything. There were guys in the lanes almost all game long. It's incredibly short sighted to make claims like that without going back and checking each play to understand what happened.

Regardless when you're being pressured consistently accuracy tends to get throw off. Yes there were throws Brock missed but I can guarantee a lot of the throws you're complaining about were made out of necessity. Dude had to complete jump passes out there at time and you're in here like he's standing in a clean pocket and just missing for the hell of it.

Pressure is a reality of being a QB...missing throws and ball placement is an issue he's had over the last couple of years and it was bad tonight. This isn't the first game where he's struggled with the high ball or throwing behind.

What are your f**king standards? lol. No QB would succeed in a game that there's:

Constant Pressure
ZERO run game
Defense can't stop opponent
Injuries to top WR and top OL

It just rings hollow when people are complaining that there were four high throws. Like genus said, guy was making jump passes.

There was no deep threat out there tonight. Seattle stacked with 6 db and played in that killing mid and short throws. Purdy had nothing to throw too. Anyway, it really should have been 23 or 26 to 3 if the field goals had been made and Darnold had hit that open receiver on that 4th and goal on their first drive and not taken the sack.

Purdy did all he is capable of doing tonight. Deck stacked against him. BUT he is not blameless. When you only score 3 points in a game like tonight the entire offense failed coaching included. The entire unit deserves equal blame. The reasons for the failure our debatable and that's fair but laying blame entirely on the qb is not only unfair it's dumb. He did the best he could given the circumstances.
