lol 7-7 all game. Defense is essentially worthless - they're just running around like headless chickens.

the offensive output is fun to watch but as a fan of the overall game. It was depressing to see such terrible defense.

To be fair: Purdy put the team in a hole with the pick 6. Obviously not bashing Brock who has been carrying lately, but spotting your opponent a 7-0 headstart within seconds isn't an ideal situation to be in for a depleted defense. The defense then forced two 3 and outs before Johnson adjusted.

Need Green and Stout ASAP.

Should've listened to Nick Wright. Was choking on his own spit trying to spin Purdy's performance…
That TD to juice was sweet….but the media acting like that's the first time he's ever done that. Brock been doing that since day 1 lol. All good welcome to the fan club.

Purdy threw the pick 6 and then responded similar to Kap vs GB in 2012 playoffs.

Even that pick was more on Jennings and easily could've been DPI. It's a throw I want him throwing every time…just maybe don't trust Jennings as much vs top corners on that route until he starts running a better route.
Screw KAP!! He sorry !! he a pitcher and that's all he was..

Purdy not pretty, but he STEADYY! !!!

B-Rock Steady Purdy !!!

GO NINERSSS !!!

It's always crazy to see the level of anticipation and trust involved in some of these plays.

Purdy is up there with Jeff Garcia as the best 49ers QB since Young retired. Better than Kap, Jimmy G, and Smith.

Agreed. Garcia doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Purdy, Garcia, Jimmy, Alex, then Kap
Agree with that order because its demonstrably true. Purdy is the absolute best since Steve Young.

Garcia may not have reached an NFC Title game and by extension a Super Bowl, but he was way better than anyone else between Young and Purdy.

I wouldn't put Jimmy over Alex. Beyond that, yeah I can't argue too much.

I think Alex got a raw deal with poor coaching. Other than that I would agree with that order. Cap was the most athletic and was fun to watch for awhile but he just couldn't control that power arm of his.

Or see the field....

NFL rule changes eliminated his opportunity to be a good QB.

Smith was a super young and raw QB coming from a college spread offense. Went to a bad team with a defensive minded HC. Had a plethora of injuries stunting his growth and went through half a dozen OCs.

Alex turned into a good pro QB and won a ton of games. I'd take Alex over Jimmy G any day. Kap was an all out athletic machine that relied on his god given ability vs leaning to play with anticipation. I think he could win some games in today's NFL (Kap before he got black balled)

Sorry... I meant that the NFL changed the Rules on Kap. Allowing the hit on him as fair play took out all the play calling that favored his talents.

LMAO

Alex should be dead last in that list of QBs, and that shouldnt even be remotely debatable.

LMAO at everything you said after LMAO.

There is no metric that puts Alex Smith about Jimmy or Kaepernick. Give me a break. We all know you have loved Alex forever, but your bias is showing.

15 years in the NFL with 35,650 yards for Alex vs 5 years and 12,271 yards for Kap, and 11 years (More than half as a back up) 15,828 for Jimmy.

The NFL doesn't lie..if you're not a legit player, you don't last. Alex lasted.

Also Pro Bowls....pretty sure Alex has more than Kap and Jimmy combined.
More impressive when you see it out wide. He just split 2 fast closing rushers like he's walking the dog.
