I've been screaming from the top of a mountain to start using your legs more. He can be Steve youngish with that extra tool in his tool belt. Man I wish we had a healthy defense this yr

Purdy is up there with Jeff Garcia as the best 49ers QB since Young retired. Better than Kap, Jimmy G, and Smith.
Agreed. Garcia doesn't get the credit he deserves.
Purdy, Garcia, Jimmy, Alex, then Kap
Garcia may not have reached an NFC Title game and by extension a Super Bowl, but he was way better than anyone else between Young and Purdy.

I wouldn't put Jimmy over Alex. Beyond that, yeah I can't argue too much.

This is the Brock montana we all knew he could be. He's playing confident, fearless, and aggressive.
all that without kittle and Trent. I hope Trent, green, and Kittle are good for next week. So pisses it's on Saturday night - back 2 back short weeks for us. We need to beat Seattle so bad to get that bye.
I can't believe it's Ravens Steelers over our game for SNF. Two short weeks in a row.
It must be all the media infatuation over A. R.

Brock is more like Montana than Young. Both are similar in size and neither has a great arm or throws that tight spiral. Brock can scramble but he doesn't have Young's speed. Montana could scramble when he was young before he got beat up. Young was a much bigger threat to take off and run. Defneses always had to be aware of it. Part of Brock's effectiveness as a runner is because teams aren't usually concerned about him pulling the ball down and taking off.

I hate what the NFL did here. The Steelers are going to get beat by the Ravens, plain and simple, and I don't think it will be a close game at all. But the powers that be decided that this is the marquee matchup that has to be the last primetime game of the year. So freaking stupid!

I think it had more to do with the broadcasts and who gets which games.
Asked @M_Ryan02 a couple weeks ago how and why Kyle Shanahan is the NFL's best when it comes to sequencing plays, and setting a defense up for something it isn't expecting. Seems relevant right now. pic.twitter.com/7rojP9FOMY

The opening pick six was awful (deflections and DPI and all he still shouldn't have thrown it there) but in a way it almost kind of elevated the narrative of his performance. Open the game right away in a 0-7 hole despite starting with the ball, yet didn't blink.
Obviously for the sake of our sanity I hope we don't open any playoff games like that but it's good to know he can still bounce back if something like that happens.

I mean Brock is shorter than both, but is a little thicker in the lower half like Steve. He moves more like Steve did, he's more athletic than Joe was imo.
Young is for sure the best runner of the bunch, I do think people underestimate Brock's twitch and running ability though. He can get those free yards and at some point teams will have to acknowledge it.
