Aikman didn't make $260 mil. Although I remember QB's used to buy their OL Rolex's back in the day too. IIRC Barry Sanders bought his OL Rolex's after his 2000 yard season.

5 weeks? The SB is closer to 7 weeks away.

How long ago did it happen?

  • The injury happened on October 12, 2025 (vs. the Buccaneers).
  • As of today (Dec 26, 2025), that's 75 days ago (about 10 weeks, 5 days).

How long does that kind of injury take to heal?

For an ankle fracture/dislocation that needs surgery, "healed enough to play NFL football" usually means months, not weeks:

  • Post-op rehab guidelines commonly don't even begin higher-impact / sport-specific progression until ~4–6 months, assuming healing is on track.
  • Research on athletes after surgical ankle fractures shows some can return as early as 2–4 months, but many take longer depending on fracture severity and stability.

Can he make it back for the Super Bowl if the Niners get there?
Super Bowl LX is Feb 8, 2026.

That would be 119 days (~17 weeks, ~4 months) after his Oct 12 injury—right on the extreme early edge of return timelines for this kind of surgery/rehab, especially for full-contact linebacker play.

What the local reporting has suggested is basically: the 49ers are letting him rehab like a comeback is possible, but it's considered unlikely.

So: possible, but a long shot—and not something you'd plan on until there are clear practice/clearance updates in January.

Those watches retail for about $12K each. If he bought 10 (I assume he included the backups) that comes to $120K. That's about 2.5% of his salary this year. That's about the same as someone making $100K spending $2500 on gifts.

Nice jesture by Purdy but when you put it in perspective it's not that much. Next season when his new contract kicks in he could by one for every player on the team and it would be about 2.5% of his salary.

Every time we see a story like this it's another reminder of the obscene amounts of money these players make. Fans have become immune to the numbers as they keep escalating every year. I liked the story about him giving vehicles to needy families more even if Toyota was donating them or giving him a discount.

I am just more pissed that he can grab 10 like that.

If you are I wanted one we would sit on a 12+month waiting list and have to buy other watches from the dealer to ever get the call.

(yes I understand you could get one in a couple of days on the gray market.)

we have the best QB in the league right now,... and those numbers are really impressive,.... he's leading almost all those stats,

the 9ers are peaking at the right time,... we have the best offense right now,... when it matters,... with the best offensive HC, the best QB, the best RB and da best TE,... this is going to be very difficult to stop

What does that tell you about Kyle's system? Remember how good Atlanta's offense was when he was the OC. They've pretty much sucked ever since he left. Kirk Cousins hasn't been great without him either.

Kyle's offense is QB friendly. JG looked good when healthy. Even Nick Mullens looked okay for a few games. Purdy looks thre best of the bunch but I have no doubt his numbers wouldn't look as good with several other teams in the league. Look how much better Stafford looked when he got a HC like McVay. Look at the improvement in Willams when the Bears brought in Ben Johnson. Then look at the dropoff in ther Lions offense without Johnson.

Never underestimate the value of a good HC/OC.

I think Purdy has the best chance to succeed out of this system because he is able to improvise. He can scramble around out of sacks and deliver balls on the run. I do think he is a great fit here and wouldn't have as much success outside this system, but I still think he could make some noise elsewhere unlike someone like JG.

Yeah, Idc what he buys, how much he buys or for who, if he got stuff on discount, if he bought 100 of whatever with no waitlist lol just keep slayin'

I am very used to BP leading all the stats, he is in go mode rn and so, ya know, let's see if anyone can stop him when he in that mindset. Ppl underestimated him earlier in the year..or when he has a weaker game..calling him Jimmy G or whatnot..na dude he is the real deal. I knew it from his second start, that this guy was going to be rembered always as one of the best we've had 🥲

Kyle is doing some of the best coaching we've seen, CMC jets are back on, who saw that coming? Kittle--I hope he heals asap..but even then, we got Tonges. We got a killer backup qb..special teams are bringing it. We got Skye Moore, who's unreal..the only weakness is our D. Which plays kinda hot and cold. And I feel like, I am not sure which is gunna show up at any given game.
Our offense needs to stay healthy and ballin' fs or we are toast.

Two more games guys then it's all Santa Clara..beast mode time, bring all the violence!

There was a recent interview with Cristiano Ronaldo:

During the conversation with Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ronaldo compared his net worth to winning the Ballon d'Or and talked openly about becoming a billionaire at 39, according to Forbes.

He also revealed that his most expensive purchase ever is a private jet he bought about a year ago. "I can buy whatever I want, but I don't need it," Ronaldo told Morgan.

Too much money in entertainment. Sad really…
