QB Brock Purdy Thread

Was hard on Purdy after the Panthers game but I will say he is on a different level right now. He is locked TF in

This is the Brock we need if we want to make a run at the chip. Our defense is currently a liability but offense and ST stout.

we will have a run like 2012 ravens, especially when Fred comes back

Fred is coming back?

It's possible. He's def coming back if we make the Super Bowl. He may come back as early as divionsal round but that's unlikely.

essentially. If we make NFCC - there is a good chance he comes back. His rehab ends around that time.
I think we can put that "Brock struggles on MNF" thing.

Great game from him. Easily could've had 6 TDs(well not easily cuz it was a tough catch but one George makes routinely) and 7 considering Tonges TD was legit.

Bourne got his bonus…let's keen him off the field please.

Hoping George is going to be ok. We're gonna need all hands on deck on offense cuz the defense is scary bad.

Defense at least played well against the run tonight.

Brock was still injured, especially Jacksonville game (which is a really good team). He was also rusty - idk why people can't factor these into his bad play at times?

hes proven that he can play at a high level when healthy. Hes not always going to be perfect - no qb is. But coming back from a brutal qb injury and missing 2 months - you have to expect some rust.

brock is a stud man and we just need him and the boys to stay healthy, we know they can score with the best of them.

That's my one hope…maybe we sold out to stop the run today and them going so pass heavy messed us up.

Flip side is…our pass rush being so poor could've led them to make that decision.

Either way, we gotta clean up a LOT. Hopefully getting QBs with a more proven track record on their current teams will help also.
Haters quiet tonight. First Niner QB with 5+ TD's since Steve Young in SB29.

We dared the Colts to beat us in man to man and they did, repeatedly.
This was a game of small plays. And Brock was totally on top of those small plays. He was comfortable, he read them right he executed like a machine. He didn't let the game situation blow his mind. He made the reads, he made the throws. Very very very few bad executions. So few it's not even worth talking about the int. So many GOOD executions. Lets talk about that for a change instead of the bad outcomes (like KYLE LOVES TO DO!). What I noticed was a lot fewer happy feet from Brock and more and more positive, deterministic decisions within in the play. He chose to run for a first down. And he did that. He chose to throw it away. And he did that. As opposed to finding the miracle play...and wondering .. is this a miracle, or a mistake...until the last moment the ball leaves his hand...never anything determined. This game had a lot of deterministic decisions from brock. And we scored 48 points...,in a game of small plays. Damn. Brock is making it back from the early season disasters.
Should have got credit for the Tonges TD. Most importantly we scored anyway, but that was a pinpoint pass and a great catch.

I dont have stats but it feels like the D regressed post bye and the offense progressed.
