QB Brock Purdy Thread

Played Amazing. Looked like the old Brock.
Filthy highlights

I only saw highlights on redzone but from what I saw and the final numbers it looked like he had a really good game. The real test will come over the next 3 weeks. Indy held the Seahawks to 18 points and no TDs. The Bears have been playing lights out and are a take away machine. Then we get the Seahawks to finish the season with playoff seeding still on the line. Brock will have a harder time finding wide open receivers and the defense is going to need to play a lot better too.

Haters sure got quiet

Nothing to complain about this week hmm? Awww
He played really well. Looks more healthy. Accuracy and mobility are both back. Looks more like a Brock_STAR lately. Than he was for a while there.
Good 3rd down efficiency, TOP, turnovers and penalties today

Brock has shown improvement from that Panthers game and that is great.

I love the start of the second quarter and when JJ sets up Brock is telling him "outside JJ outside" Brock is aware and present to what is going on.

He's coming back from a brutal injury for a qb mid season. That's tough to do. He made some bad throws/decisions - I'm not excusing that. I just don't understand how some fans can't factor that into his evaluation.

Some need to read up on the what "turf toe" is and how hard it is for a qb to play with it. It impacts their entire game.

looks like Brock is getting healthier and more comfortable with it. I hope he gets better and goes into the playoffs with this offense roaring

Great game. Protected the ball. I counted one INT-able pass, one bad pass to Kittle, and one bad pass where he had Pearsall wide open. Other than those 3 passes, the rest was solid.
he's in midseason form
Didn't get to see a lot of the game today (had a poorly scheduled funeral to attend to) but from what I did see, and his stat line, he played well.

Absolutely cringe anytime a player gets near that throwing arm…
Hobbled Pearsall

Jauan Jennings
Robinson
Bourne

And of course having Kittle and CMC helps.

But you have to throw it to your WRs.. so for him to get them the ball, make it easy for them to catch most of the time... (heck even on the drops today, it was perfectly placed)... I mean that is what you want from your franchise QB.

It was just the Titans this week... but these next three weeks are against tough teams/defenses. If he and Kyle can still make things happen vs those teams, we'll be good for a while. Brock just needs to protect the ball, but also protect his health. He took some hard hits today he could have avoided.

Believe it or not, I'm still more comfortable with Mac Jones if we have to pass a lot. There was one point in the last Rams game where they were obviously stuffing our run up the middle but we kept at it even though Mac seemed hot with his arm...felt like we were wasting plays. I yelled out, "just let Mac go win this.. f**k the run and lets get 3 downs to throw the ball to get these 10 yards".. but that's in the past and its nice to know we have Mac to fall back on if needed.

But back to Brock, he obviously does things that elite QBs do with their eyes (head position) as well as ball placement. But I still want to see more from him before I feel comfortable again, like I used to be. The past two games, he protected the ball. And in todays game he did that WHILE still being aggressive. So yeah that is where it is at... I want to see that vs these next 3 teams. I don't need him to be perfect, but confident....yet controlled.
