I think Brock's best is better than Mac's best but it's plain as day that this offense has looked better under Mac. Not sure how any one csn even debate this. Cant remember Brock for what he was or could be. Base it off of what we've seen this year

You are almost never going to see Mac scramble out, direct a receiver, and launch it for a big play. You're gonna get more sacks due to lack of escapability. Your offense can still move the ball but will ultimately be less explosive overall, affording less room for error from everyone, and the more plays required increase chances for drive stalling errors or mistakes by other players beyond the QB.
Is Brock really a proven player? 1 elite year then backed that up with an okay year and so far this season it's been a mixed bag. I wouldn't call him a proven player.
He's got 45 starts in the NFL. 6 of them in the playoffs where he has a 4-2 record.

Breaking rumor: the 49ers voided Brock Purdy's future guarantees in July due to a breach of contract. The team has not revealed the actually reasoning, but it will be leaked to Jay Glazer later in the week.
