We did have Kittle this time though.

Kittle is a game changer for sure. But the Cards had an insane amount of penalties today and the defense made 2 ints despite giving up 400+ yards

Nice 1st game back & hope he continues to get better each week

The turnovers and penalties helped hide a lot today. I didn't look at his stats I just watched him play and was not impressed.got away with a few should be ints. Held the ball too long and missed open guys. Best thing he did today other than the kittle pass was give Mac time to heal up. We will need him.

I'm beginning to think that this must be Grant Cohn's new burner account.

The forum just ain't the same, go Niners!
Biggest thing for me today was he was smart with the football for the most part. Couple of throw aways on 1st and 2nd down in the red zone when things were covered.

Still had a couple of "chill Brock" moments but I'd like to rewatch those cuz I think they may not have been as bad as it looked initially.

Overall key thing was his accuracy looked much better. Can only think of one high throw to CMC but majority went where he wanted them which is huge.

Hopefully he'll only build from it. We may need another 40+ point showing next Monday cuz Panthers are sneaky good and I don't trust our defense at all.

Exactly.

Brock did well and the doomsday we overpaid this game manager, injury prone crowd is quiet.

Brock put up 40 and the offense was a bit more energized. It's nice to win a game comfortably. I wish they pulled him, CMC, and Kittle earlier though.

One bad throw was a really good play from the defender. He faked like he was about to jump underneath route then fell back in throwing lane. But he dropped the int
I thought he looked great considering the time off.
my only concern would be how much he hangs the ball in the air on passes where he doesn't need to have touch. Almost like a 50/50 ball. Watching film from a couple years ago he had a bit more zip on the ball. Other than that I thought he did exactly what he needed to do

Playing hero ball too much as always.

Picks incoming.

Which were the hero balls in your opinion?

he did not play better than his backup. Had one good throw. Witnessed more concerning play, needless scrambling, hero ball, not taking what they gave him. Purdy was unimpressive today. Mac looks better.

Try watching with eyes open next time. It helps.

Doesn't have the quick reaction time Mac does and still doesn't take the easy play when it's there. But his mobility and ability to extend plays with the roll outs and avoiding the rush make up for it.

I felt safer with Mac throwing the ball bc he has excellent ball placement, but with Brock you know the play isn't necessarily over when the Dline is bearing in.

Good first game back !

I feel he is more timid now compared to this first two seasons.

He did nothing impressive. He had one nice pass to kittle but hey we did win and that's what counts.

LOL

Don't notice much difference between the two frankly. Brock is clear more mobile but both QBs can play in this offense. Both love to make stupid ass throws multiple times a game too. Nice to have 2 above average QBs with how injury prone this team is.
