Because we don't need to and he can be the 3rd emergency qb if needed. Also on IR I don't think he can throw and work with the 1st and second, scout teams. Keeping his arm sharp while he rehabs is probably a positive. Especially if Shanahan thinks he's day to day.
With that said, I don't think they should bring him to start on the sticky hard turf at NY. I
guessing his foot does better on natural turf so let him really rest it though the bye.

He's getting paid less than both of those guys this season and as SWH pointed out, he was getting that treatment last year and his whole career actually.

I've never seen that happen like that. It's like people simply couldn't wrap their head around this small kid without a huge arm being able to play good football unless it's due to his Avengers or the Shanahan scheme.

Meanwhile guys like CJ Stroud were being coddled like they were newborns. Look at their numbers from last year...

Stroud's performance was praised for battling through a tough OL situation and having his playmakers be injured and still making it to the playoffs.

Tell me what Stroud did so much better than Brock last year? And Stroud had his skill players a lot more frequently out there with him than Brock did.

Stroud is a top 5 pick though so he's allowed to play poorly and people will bring up his pass pro and his skill positions having issues. Brock? Gotta be he's just mid.

Oh God... I hate when yall try to bring down/discredit other QBs when it's not necessary.

Although both QBs threw 12 Ints last year...

Stroud had two of 12 ints last year in the 4th QTR.
Brock threw 6...SIX!.... in the 4th QTR.

Why do you think some started to lose faith, or expected a turnover when we had to come back?

Again Brock tried to do too much last year, because of the missing pieces and the struggling offense.. I was hoping he would change that this year.

Another stat.. when trailing (losing) in games, Stroud threw 7TDs and 4ints. Where as Brock threw 6tds and 7ints.

This isn't about putting down Stroud. It's about showing the draft bias people have and holding things against Brock that they don't do with other QBs.

Know why Stroud didn't have to force as much? Cuz his defense was dominant and he had more weapons overall while playing in a softer division.

I've broken down every pick Brock threw last year and it wasn't him just throwing passes into double coverage or blowing his reads like some have claimed. You're welcome to go through them yourself.

Yep, it's because he was a 7th rounder and Stroud, a 1st rounder pick iirc. It's ok, keeps him humble, like Rodgers said, (paraphrasing), "I sure hope they keep on him, to have that chip on the shoulder." While Stroud seems to be a little on the haughty side and atm overrated...and definitely coddled. I will take Brock every day over him.

I'd rather have Purdy over Maye, Daniels, Prescott, Nix, Penix, Hurts, McCarthy, Williams, Stroud, Love, Mayfield, Darnold & Jones moving forward. Not even close either.

Franchise QB's are tough to find.
