He's going to inevitably throw a ball into triple coverage for a pick. It's just what he does.

He can also perfectly layer and drop it into a receiver's hands too, we've seen that.

It's great to see BP back in practice, his mobility looks pretty good, let's just hope he doesn't aggravate his toe. Need me some Purdy to Kittle time

Can't pretend it hadn't become a trend.

I don't think the game plan has been different. Brock just has been too slow to come off the high read. He wants the shot no matter what and sometimes that means even throwing into triple coverage despite 5 easy yards being right there in front of him underneath.

At what point will Kyle get tired of this?

I've certainly used hyperbole to make points as well but we do in fact know Purdy doesn't throw into triple coverage for every pick right?

Kyle would get tired of it quickly if that was in fact what kept happening. It doesn't and the closest example of it was the 2nd pick vs Seattle and even that wasn't triple coverage.

I actually went back to look at every pick Brock has thrown in his career. None of them were into triple coverage.

I'd say maybe 3 were what you can claim was double coverage - 3rd pick vs KC last year, pick in the Pats game last year and the 2nd pick vs Seattle this year.

So I don't see the trend of that happening or something we have to consistently worry about. But Brock does need to control his gunslinger mode and remember when you can live to play another down.

I'd love to see Brock play Sunday night...but we can't have what happened last time happen again. Especially if Pearsall is out. Mac has the connection with Bourne, clearly Brock and KB weren't on the same page. With Kittle back obviously we level up there but can't have Brock coming back and his throws being off consistently again.

Brock's throws looked terrible too. He has got to get his passes down. His placement is off quite a bit this year compared to his past seasons. Hopefully it's something that he can get on track with.
I am happy Brock throws past the sticks.

My questions is will we ever get a full seaon out of Purdy? Can his body hold up to playing every week? We need his mobility because our OL sucks. Not sure if Purdy has the capability physically to hold up. Some of that is on Lynch and Shanahan for the crapping OL we have.

Didn't he play the full season when we went to the Super Bowl? I don't remember him missing any games that year, I could be wrong though. Also didn't he just play a full season last year?

Anyone is free to double check what I saw. Easy enough to do with NFL Pro. Filter for Purdy, interceptions thrown and check all the games he played in.

Once again his throws vs Seattle week 1, especially before his injury were on the money. The accuracy metrics after the game showed that.

The Jags game was a totally different beast all together. People gotta be able to separate the two games.

I am old enough to realize no matter who the player is, there is someone who will detest them. I guess its human nature for some to take that stance? If we had the internet back in the 80's and 90's people would have knocked Rice, Barry Sanders, and Montana all the same.
So it's being reported Mac most likely will play again? Just how bad is this toe?
