If things go well they wont need to beat Seattle.

Next 3 games will be the sign of where this season goes.

Lol, 0-3
I see a 10-7 IF those injured can't come back for a while. 11-6 if they come back and play at a top tier on the offense. I think CM needs Purdy's mobility to help open him up because this OL can't and we need to figure out how to burn clock, keep the opposing offense off the field and score touchdowns not field goals. I do not see this team going deep in the playoffs regardless because I firmly believe a strong defense will win you a championship by keeping you close in the game or shutting down the opponent completely. I do not see that happening and against a top tier team, I don't see this team matching up. The next 3 weeks will tell us a lot, both of where the season goes and where Lynch and Shanahan think this team is capabler of. If we trade, then they show they think they can still win and go deep. No major trade that shows we will lick our wounds and try again. I do think we need to consider a rebuild as many of our elite players are aging. Walsh won for a lot of reasons and one was he was willing to part with vets when they were past their prime. He brought up new talent and was successful in identifying that new talent. It helped that Eddie was willing to pay also.

They need to play Purdy when he is healthy and I think we'll see that.

Yes, that will be the hope. Purdy will add a spark and his mobility will help the OL to do a better job. With Jones sitting in the pocket, the pass rusher know they can focus on just that area. Purdy forces them to slow the rush a bit to account for his escapability.

It will now be up to the offense to outscore the opposition. With a healthy Kittle, Pearsall, and Jennings, along with Bourne and Tonges, we will have weapons to challenge just about any defense.

10-7 is still realistic, maybe 11-6 if no further injuries take out key players.

Rams, Hawks, and Indy look like the toughest games left on the schedule, but I'm an any given Sunday type of guy, so you never know. I think a healthy, locked in Brock will be the key to how the rest of the season goes. I think they still have a chance to win the Division, with a little luck, but not sure how much further than that they can go. I suspect Fred's injury will mean Nick Martin will have some more opportunities. Maybe he'll surprise. Go Niners!

You know he still has room for improvement, right?

A lot of improvement… he needs to play healthy. We need to know what we really have in him. Will he progress or continue declining.

It's going to be really tough to beat the Rams again without Fred but we don't know who will be available when that game rolls around.

Right now we just need to beat the teams ahead of us. Haven't watched much of the Falcons this year, they obviously have some big time weapons and seem to have a good group of pass rushers. If Mac has to play again I hope Kittle and Pearsall will be ready.

Why are you even a fan of this team? Honestly?

This season has been such a punch to the d*ck honestly. My expectations for the season were growing pains, sneak into the playoffs cuz of the easy schedule and maybe if we're lucky make a run.

Then we start the year 2-0. Obviously some big injuries with Brock, Kittle but nothing long term and it's looking promising. Then we go 3-0 but lose Bosa, my expectations dip knowing how much he brings to our DL.

Then we manage to get to 4-1 and 3-0 in the division. Potential for a trade at edge and maybe we can shock the world.

Then Fred is gone for the year...

I'll never stop watching the team but my expectations for the year are gashed. The one thing we had on defense was a big time vet at each level of the defense. Both in the meeting rooms, practice field and on gameday. That was a huge boost to all the youth we had on the defense. Guys who could communicate, lead by example and lead on the field. 2 of the 3 are now gone for the season and two of our best.

I still think this team has enough talent, coaching and culture to win more games with this schedule but it's going to be a grind the WHOLE way through.

I wouldn't be surprised if we missed the playoffs, I wouldn't be surprised if we make the playoffs but I just can't see us making that potential run to the SB. Only hope left is the offense gets healthy. Brock plays as his best version and the offense makes it easier on the defense. Cuz they will need all the help they can get.

Only upside with our schedule is we only play 4 more veteran QBs this season and 2 of them are Daniel Jones and Kyler Murray. Not that young QBs can't rip this defense apart but not at the level of guys like Stafford or Mayfield.

Hope Saleh can figure something out but we'll need the offense to really lock in and play their best.

Yep, it's gunna be an ugly, dirty grind and we will likely miss the playoffs. With our D the way it is..it's only going to drain our O-line and Purdy. It's going to be exhausting, it's too lopsided now. I don't really wanna see this unfold lol. The only positive is that we do have a softer schedule, so maybe the overall blow won't be as terrible. But I still don't want to see it.

We needed to win it in Vegas, that was our time and it's hard to believe the mess ups that happened in that game. Or even the damn constant rain for a week, which never happens in Vegas and f**ked their practice field. .

I love to watch the Niners but it's hard when you know there is zero chance this team has hope for the season. Why did we have to lose Fred f**king Warner?

Seeing what Atlanta is doing to the Josh Allen and the bills… right now the niners are going to get crushed next week.

They just lost to the panthers 30-0 a couple weeks ago, relax

Yes they did and the panthers are another team on our "easy" schedule that are not as bad as advertised. They had 200 yards on the ground back to back weeks. Without Fred and bosa I don't know how we stop them. Robinson just went for 170 and could have been more.

Eh, that game looks like a weird divisional fluke compared to their other games.

Interestingly, the Falcons haven't allowed 200 yards passing in a single game this year and actually have given up more yards per rush than yards per pass over their last 4 games.

We need Kittle back. Badly. Our run game needs any kind of spark.

I wish we could finally replace Brendle.
I know we haven't had much to talk about with Brock last two games but let's try to at least throw him into the conversation here.

I doubt Brock plays against Atlanta but while I felt Mac gave us a better chance to win the Rams game with the guys we had available and with what the Rams do well on defense...I feel the same way about Brock in this one. I think Mac's lack of mobility and Atlanta's pass rush and speed may be a tough mix for us. Hopefully getting Kittle back can ignite our stale running attack because it will be key to keeping Atlanta's rush off Mac if he's out there.

Overall this NFL season is very odd. I'm 50/50 on this game. Can easily see us winning it can also see us get our ass kicked. Big unknown now with Fred on defense.
