So, your argument is that a ball that's tipped at the line by one defender and intercepted by another, or a catchable ball that goes off a receiver's hands and is intercepted, are as much the QB's fault as a ball that he (not necessarily Brock, but any QB) throws right into a defender's hands because he misread the coverage or made a bad throw? What if a defender just happens to make an incredible play on a ball that he intercepts? Is that the QB's fault too, or should the defender be given some props for his effort?

The point is Mr. Purdy is turning into a turnover machine. It was evident last year, and in the Seattle game this year. I have no idea why peeps feel the need to provide a 'nuanced' analysis explaining the reason behind each and every int. You either can protect the ball more often than not or you can't. Good qbs limit their turnovers. Not counting lost fumbles Purdy is at a 2td to 1int ratio which is reminiscent of your avg Qb. You can only get away with this s**t if you're Brett Favre-like with a bionic arm.

Lets hope he can turn this s**t around, starting with his health.

Is he turning into a turnover machine? His interception percentage is basically the same in every season of his career (between 2.4-2.6%), obviously not counting this one due to the extremely low sample size and injury.

The names are similar so I can see how you get confused. 49erKing. 49ersRing. 49ers81.
It is noteworthy that the 49ers worked out 3 FA QBs today. Let's hope we don't have to sign any of the three. However, the fact they brought in three suggests that Purdy may not be as close as we have been led to believe.

I hope that Mac can keep it together until Brock is healthy enough to play. Ideally I would like to see Brock held out until at least week 10, so they can avoid the turf in Houston and at the dreaded Metlife Stadium.

I'm sure there are better veteran QB's on the street than that bunch. That's a sad group of QB's.

A-Mart ready... he ready ait... don't forget he was the UFL's MVP.... that means he can at least get the JOB done IMPRESSIVELY...

Dude's better than former Stallions Cliff Stoudt and Reggie Collier.

We should give him a series every 3rd QTR..

It's a good idea. The problem though is we want to win.

If they're planning on keeping him out until week 10 then not putting him on IR is a very odd move.

If Brandon Aubrey can become the best kicker then surely Martinez can become the best QB in the NFL. Right?

You'd think 49ers fans would know better than to be quick to write off the third string QB.

AIN'T putting the UFL MVP on a bad situation.. let's do the old BILL WALSH to Joe Montana recipe.. put him in on a good filed position and just wet his beak..

GO ask Kurt Warner when he came out of nowhere.

Aubrey the best or just becoming?
