Insufferable.

Some people can't see past the tip of their nose. Brock is still a young QB and reps are very important. No need to needlessly feed a stupid controversy.

People gotta get clicks and views. When Brock is healthy he's the guy.

Can you imagine Mac with the hot hand get this team on a winning streak. Then Brock comes back in time for playoffs and makes us one and done. The fanbase would s**t all over the team. I suspect Brock will be out until the bye. If Max takes this team in a serious run til then, just can't imagine Kyle ripping away the keys and handing them to Brock.

If Brock's out for an extended period and Mac can keep this up then it just depends on who Kyle sees as the future

This would be a rough one for the front office to absorb after having to move on from JG after giving him a record contract, then moving up to draft Lance and totally whiffing on that. Moving off Purdy after giving him the big extension would be 3 straight mistakes. I'm not saying they're going to do it but it would be a hard decision to make if they did.

Not if Mac wins you a SB.

I'm not sure what you mean by "critical moments". Every time our line gets beat that's a critical moment. Hence Mac and Brock both getting slapped around like rag dolls. Mac already broke a knee and Brock got stomped on. This will happen multiple times every game between now and the end of the season. Hit after hit nick after nick ding after ding. No clean pocket in 2025 sad to say.

First down instead or 3rd/4th down.

Early in the game or when we have a big lead vs in close games late in the game.

We'll trade Mac if we win the SB this year with him. Just like the Eagles did with Foles. Purdy is our QB no matter what Mac does. If they didn't have that conviction, they wouldn't have given Purdy $250 million.

After Kirk Cousins, Mac Jones was Kyle Shanahan's wet dream. If Mac wins a SB, Purdy will be traded not Mac…

Brock didn't get stomped on.

Personally I don't have an issue with playing the hot hand.

I hope we're in a position where that situation comes up because I don't want to root against Mac while he's a 49er.

However as impressive as Mac has played I haven't seen anything from him that I believe Brock can't replicate but I've seen things from Brock I know Mac can't replicate. When healthy to me Brock is the better QB.

We've seen teams stick with the hot hand before but I can't recall many situations where a team pays their QB big money, he gets injured and then a QB on a short deal comes in and takes over the job.

The examples I can think of in recentish history are obviously Tom Brady who was in his 2nd season in the NFL and Kap who was also in his 2nd year with us.

Russell Wilson took over as a rookie from Matt Flynn but that wasn't really a move due to injury either.

I just find it hard to believe that everything Brock has on tape for this team that he's getting benched even if Mac is undefeated(which would be amazing)

We're 1-0 with Brock not playing the full game with that injury and has an impressive playoff resume under Kyle.

Bledsoe was 0-2 under Belichick that season and like 6-10 year prior(if that)

Alex was a tougher one but Harbaugh didn't have a lot of investment in Alex. No big contract lingering and offense was being held back how Alex was playing. Kap was on a cheap deal and offered some crazy options on offense.

I don't really care about the hot hand stuff, I just want Brock healthy before he comes back. If hes fully healthy he should start even if Mac is on fire. Now if Brock is healthy and he plays bad like 4-5 games in a row then we can start asking questions.

The Rams traded Trent Green after Kurt Warner won a SB despite the 4-year contract they gave him and 2 years later the Patriots traded Bledsoe after Tom Brady won the SB despite the 10-year contract they gave him.

Kyle likes Mac. If he wins the SB this season I bet that the one traded will be Brock.

Brock can't make the throws Mac can make. Mac seems to process faster, more decisive, and gets the ball out quicker. Just a better decision maker currently, which is a surprising regression for Brock. Brock used to be known for this. I swear the Ravens broke Brock.

genus, you seem to be coming around brother. Slowly but surely.

Amazingly, not a single point I agree with. You have a short memory

Purdy is still my QB, he just gotta get healthy like for real healthy no b******t like he pulled in week 4. But I'm really loving what Mac Jones is doing for the 9ers, I really wish he could stay on as the back up. But if Mac Jones wins the Super Bowl this season in Santa Clara (I'm praying), then he gotta stay on as the starter no offense Brock.
It does seem to be the case, that lots of ppl have short term memory or they are extremely impatient or both lol. Brock lost one game this season and ppl crapping their pants lol.

But that's one in a row. Oh no!!!
A good chunk of the $260M is just window dressing until it's earned via tenure.
