Apparently lol

He's got a 24td to 16int ratio over that span. That's objectively not good.

Dont scare the Rosies.

Hard to argue that Brock's as good as Mayfield or Darnold or anywhere near the value.

Both of those QBs have a higher cap hit than Brock this year…

Did they sign a msssive contract? Missed that too. I need see what it like in bizarro world.

Actually they did sign big contracts. Darnold signed a 3 year 100 million contract after ONE good year with the Vikings and zero playoff wins. Brock had 3 good years under his belt with multiple playoff wins before his signed his mega deal.

Mayfield is under a decent contract now and his avg per year is very close to Purdy but let's not act like his next contract (next year) will not be higher than Purdy's. If you dont think it will be then you have no idea how QB contracts work.

Tell me this, what is the difference between Mac Jones first few games and Brock Purdy's first few games. Lets add Jimmy G to the mix too. What seperates Mac Jones between the other 2?

Baker's cap hit jumps to over $50M next season, so I'd be shocked if they didn't extend him this upcoming season. you're right though, he's going to get a huge pay bump.

Brock/Darnold/Mayfield are very comparable contracts and their numbers are close to each other.

What's funny is a lot of fans don't realize that brock signed very fair deal. lol he didn't become the highest paid qb in the league, not even close. lol
LOL at the drama queens looking for controversy instead of enjoying having two guys capable of winning.

It is the way of the Zone.

This is not a ridiculous take. We all love Purdy and his story, but some of y'all need to be more objective about his play over the past season and some change.

And some of you need to me more nuanced in your takes. It goes both ways.

I see a lot of people throwing out things Brock did poorly without even remembering how those things happened. Basically a variation of mandela effect happening a lot here.

Brock played some hero ball turns into Brock plays hero ball all the time
Brock makes a couple of bad decision(like every QB does) turns into Brock keeps making bad decisions instead of checking the ball down.

Etc.

It's ok to go back and refresh our memories on what happened on those turnovers last year. I did that to post some context and while my eyes may tell me one things, i understand someone may see it differently but nobody decided to go back and look at them for their take. It was simply brushed off as "excuses" or some other goal post moving just so actual football discussion doesn't have to happen.

Discussions are allowed to go deeper than he's not worth the money or he keeps turning the ball over.

Matt Stafford went to the PB and was in the MVP talks with 24/11 TD to int ratio in 2023.

For all the Purdy was bad last year...here is his year stacked up against Matt Stafford - who btw had his RB1 all year long, and for the majority of the year had his top weapons available(when he didn't...he wasn't very good)

Hell you're having a tough time doing math. Your numbers are for the last 17 games and don't include his 5 rushing TDs.

Cuz if you're doing the last 19 games then...

Know what else Brock has in those games?

Comeback win vs the Lions in the NFCCG
A SB trip where he never left the field with a deficit.
And just missing the cut - Game winning drive in the Divisional round.

Facts matter in that world I guess. You wouldn't make it.
Is it possible he goes to IR this week? Maybe likely a better word.

I guess if they try to bring in another QB then its very likely he is going to sit for most of this year.
49ers were -75 in the 4th quarter last year while boasting the 4th worse offense at 5.2 points in that quarter. Sure -75 isn't all on the offense but the terrible scoring and turnovers were.

Really? We went to NFCCG last year? Must've missed that. Wonder how we ended up with the 11th pick?

Talk about getting facts straight.

You're the one who struggles with math. Take out a calculator and see if that will help.

Hint: There are 17 games in a regular season now and Brock missed 2 games last year.
