I didn't know he was only signed for one year?

Where is your crystal ball from since you seem to be so good at looking into the future?

His cap hit is lower than both of them next year too btw.

So come back in 3 years and tell us where he stacks up against them then.

And he has a no trade clause!

Brock's play level has regressed for the last 19 games as a starter. His first 19 games were elite.

Who is the real Brock Purdy? Hope is isn't standing up the last 19 games.

Frustration is caused from his mediocre play and recency bias however this "recency" is starting to take the form of a significant sample size representing half of Brock's career.

I hope he turns it around and can be who he was the first 19 games.

He just needs to play like Mac did against the rams - decisive and accurate throws without jimmy g picks and fumbling in crucial situations at midfield vs the jags with the opportunity to go win the game that drive.

Crazy you can get that performance from Mac for $3.5m per year and Brock's current mediocre play costs us $50m+ per year. Playoffs is where it all matters anyways.

I'm still rooting for him to succeed while yelling at the tv at him when he is continuously ****ing up like he has been for 19 games and essentially Jimmy 2.0 with mobility.

Well said.

Lol

If only we had Trey Lance

So ridiculous.

This is not a ridiculous take. We all love Purdy and his story, but some of y'all need to be more objective about his play over the past season and some change.
So now the narrative is he's been bad for 19 games?

I'm sure some could stretch it all the way back to the game against the Ravens on Christmas night 2023.

I'm curious - do you guys ever watch other teams/qbs and critique them the same way you do brock or the 49ers?

No one is saying brock hasn't had some bad plays, like every qb does. The whole team was in shambles last year and he over compensated. He wasn't bad at all, just wasn't as impactful as we've seen. Brock now has a messed up foot and makes it difficult to throw (hence the high passes). he looked great in the first half against the seahawks and then we saw the high passes in the second half and jags game.

everyone needs to just relax and let him heal up, let the season play out. Worst case scenario, we have mac jones. realistically, brock is going to heal up and all will be great.

Kyle just needs to not do stupid s**t like let a qb come back quickly on a bum planting foot when it's completely unnecessary... injuring it worse.

Moral is - every team has bad plays. If you're expecting Brock to look like Joe montana or brady, you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

He's got a 24td to 16int ratio over that span. That's objectively not good.

lol i know. he's very passionate about knocking Brock because he beat out Trey. Cracks me up.
I think fans need to get comfortable with the thought that Mac Jones may be the starter for the next 4 or so games. I don't see brock coming back in the next 2-3 weeks, min. him getting reinjured during the jacksonville game really set him back, imo.

This is just Brock's 3rd full season as a starter. He's still learning and we're comparing him to 8 year vets who didn't look close to what Brock looks like in their 3rd year.
