This team is exhausing.

Adrenaline. We're not the only ones dealing with it. Saints lost a starting safety who is out of the year and he played the whole game. Went home...realized something was up. Torn pec iirc.

But definitely very frustrating when you think you know all the injuries or somehow you hear "no injuries" and the next day they're like SURPRISE!

What do you think Shanys record is relative to the league in games missed since he has been coach?

Don't know and don't care honestly. I'm sure it's not great. However I refuse to blame injuries on the HC. We can argue all day long about our medical and training staff but they've been changed around and guys are still getting injured.

We play a physical brand of football it sucks but that does lead to injuries. My big concern with Kyle and I've mentioned it is the reluctance to put more resources into OL. I would like to see that change.

How does a QB finish a game one week and can't play the next week with turf toe. This organization sucks. Soft as drug store cotton.

How does he play? Cause Brock is tough as s*it. Why does he not play this week? Because ya definitely do not want the injury to get worse. Idk how that is soft. Dude played with a broken rib before and quite well too. Lol

Yeah I feel if it was up to him, he probably would play this week.

Yeah fs he would play. But can't mess around with turf toe.

I thought I saw him put more weight on his left foot after that play where apparently the injury occurred. I am guessing it is his right foot?

I just wish we could stay healthy

I wanna see Brock slide more..or at least once, does he know how to slide? Is it too unmanly to slide? Jk

Hmm.........maybe it's just big coincidence.
Any update for today? Assuming they are being cautious with him and if it were the playoffs he would play.

Turf toe tends to linger though when these guys try to play through it. Better to have him fully heal.

What kind of update are you expecting ? It's Friday and the last, walk through like, practice of the week. He's been ruled out of the Saints game already and he isn't practicing...turf toe is a lingering nasty issue.

Fans and media are always looking for soeone or something to blame. I believe t's mostly just bad luck. Luck, both good and bad runs in streaks. This team is having a streak of bad luck except for 2023 when they were one of the healthiest teams. As you pointed out there have been chanhes made in the training including adding or get rid of some personnel. The NFL has no secrets and I'm pretty sure the 49er players and training staff do things about the same way as other teams. Highly unlikely that the injuries are happening because of poor training methods.

You can't train in some manner to avoid turf toe. Training won't prevent ligament tears or broken bones. Concussions are going to happen no matter how you train. I saw a couple pretty serious injuries last night. I imagine their fans are freaking out too.

Maiocco said he saw Purdy today and he was moving around just fine and that he had a good day of practice on thursday. He said Purdy might be able to play week 3

They do that a lot. More than any other team in the league.

Again, this team has carried its vets far too long. It is going to take a rebuild after this year . . . . Purdy, well, let's just say I am beginning to think he has a glass body . . . one that can't take the rigor play of the NFL week in and week out I need to look up how many injuries he has had since his rookie year and how many games missed. Also, fits the Niners of late. The player signs a new contract and count on them being injured for a while. I am beginning to question whether the organization is picking the right players. Time will tell.

Yes a lot of truth to that.
Kyle said Brock has a chance to play in week 3.
Burrow might miss 3 months with turf toe. Damn we got lucky brocks isn't bad.

thankfully it looks like we can let him fully heal up
Joe Burrow could have Grade 3 turf toe injury, which could sideline him for 3+ months.

Remember, it could always be worse. Looks like Brock only had Grade 1-2.

I think if we win against Arizona - Brock sits until the rams game.
