QB Brock Purdy Thread

Kyle just said it's a long shot for him to play this week and they're uncertain of his availability for week 3.

These injuries are wild. I feel more confident in this years team handling the injuries than last year. We'll see tho.
I was supposed to be at this game but we decided to visit NO at a later date. Starting to be glad we're going to miss it
Stupid f**king turf toe, damn b***h of an injury and it happens just like that
Multiple freakin weeks?!!!! next we'll hear the IR is a possibility with a sunday morning report of it being for sure
3 separate injuries in his last 2 starts. 3 injuries that caused/will cause him to miss at least 1 game in his last 8. That's a little worrying.

This is what I really, really don't understand.

He literally finished the damn game. Now he could be out multiple weeks. It's a toe. Just makes no sense.

I suppose all we can do is keep waiting. This whole fanbase melted down last Thursday night the moment CMC showed up on the injury report but that turned out to be a nothing burger. Maybe Kyle is just giving worst-case scenarios instead of best-case scenarios now, who knows.

So he's done for like half the year because whatever Kyle says is usually 5 games off
Does Brock have the body to take the rigors of the NFL week in and week out? I believe he can play at the NFL level, he's shown that. However I am far less convinnced that his body can take the rigor of playing at this level. Perhaps, just perhaps, that body is just too fragile. He seems to have had a lot of injuries over the last several year and with the OL the 49ers have, I only see more and more injuries coming for Mr. Purdy. This team a Super Bowl team? Nope they are not. Love the Niners have since 1972 but I have to say, this team is not an elite team and regardless of what other fans may think, they'll show they are not. Playoffs? Maybe because of their schedule but if they don't dominant most of the teams on their schedule which I don't expect they will, they will be a one and done in the playoffs.

We said the same about CMC though and then he looked completely fine on Sunday.

It's why I'm cautiously pausing before hitting the panic button right away.
