Ahhhhhhhh, life in Ninerland is always good when the forum locals are reduced to arguing over Style Points when it comes to Brock pulling out another gritty win.

How many years we gonna keep up the "yeah but he doesn't do this thing right" and the "yeah but he doesn't do that thing right"…..lol.

4-0 in Seattle with trash O-lines and inconsistent running games while orchestrating a merry go round of WRs dealing with injuries after injuries after injuries.

Dude is IT, dude has IT and dude is going to continue to get IT done, no matter how much he keeps getting handicapped by this atrocious front office that refuses to fix the OL and let players like Jordan Mason walk.

Whatever the issues on this team are, one thing is for sure, none of them are on Brock Purdy.

I agree with most of this except Jordan Mason did not walk. He was traded and replaced for less.

The pick we got for Mason has already turned into a starting safety.

You're correct about Mason (technically) my point is that, why do you trade Mason to just replace him with Robinson? I get that we got a draft pick, but IMO I feel like Mason was better and keeping him would have kept continuity in the offense.
It's great that the draft pick we got for him is working out so far, but it would have been much better IMO to use that capital on strengthening the OL

Bc Mason signed for 5 mil a year, while Robinson is on a rookie contract.
Brock is giving it his all out there. Many FQB's would be crying about the o-line right now but he just gets up and keeps on pushing.
You knuckleheads need to stop criticizing Brock and understand what you have at the most important position in football. Brock is a confident young man who has learned so much about the position he is playing and is continuing to learn. Don't forget that in his ROOKIE year, Brock got the Niners to the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. And we have no idea what he would have done if he had stayed healthy. Then, he gets the Niners to the Super Bowl. And this game being a team game showed up because that loss is not his fault. And last year the injuries reared their ugly heads. I say either be happy about your QB or find another team to root for
Ice in his veins! Brock Fing Purdy. I have no doubt that he is the QB to lead us to a SB win.
i thought he played well some absolute drop it in the bucket throws. final play had some catch vibes no one open and he extends that play gives his guy a chance. moody's suck factor playing a role as they didn't want to leave it in the hands of the kicker, had to kinda put that ball in the endzone and see what happens. we need moody the hell off this team now

Great win for a team with something to prove. Brock battled adversity and delivered. The guy has a massive sack. Great first game for a lot of new and young faces. Winning a come from behind road game will serve this team well going forward.

He did have a few "things of beauty" throws yesterday

No doubt. All timing stuff tho, right?

If we could just try to get him to stop being something he's not,...especially in critical parts of the game.

The first int I sort of understood after Greg Olsen breakdown. CMC was supposed to go out on route & occupy the lb. He had to pickup blitz/fell down. Just a bang bang play. It looked bad but purdy expected certain things.

The 2nd int was terrible, idk

That means Purdy would be reading that LB though, or it would be a predetermined throw.

You'd think he'd see the LB dropping deeper in Jennings window and look for the under route (which wasn't there). You'd want to kill that play rather than force the throw anyway. Plus it was a balloon… just hung up there.

Hopefully one of the film guys will break it down because I'd be curious to see.

We've seen Brock layer throws like that similar to JJ vs the Packers in the playoffs. I think he thought he could still get it over the LB but I believe he was getting pressure in his face and threw off his back foot...no bueno.

in the critical moment, it's all covered up and he keeps the play alive. i don't think darnold is a bad QB, he had a good season last year, but he was oblivious to pressure and that's how you get the empty hand going forward with the ball out, he tried to throw a ball he didn't even have.

that's a critical skill in today's game. if you can play high level QB when it's all covered up well on the back end you can kinda become indefensible that's what josh allen was doing last night, just extend the play, keep eyes downfield, eventually someone flashes open put it on em. but you gotta feel the rush while scanning downfield, can't just stand there like a statue oblivious.
I give Brock a C+ in this game. The first pick, while he should have seen the defender, Christian not getting depth on his route caused the LB to be in an area he shouldnt have been. The second pick was inexcusable. I understand why he threw it, but he shouldnt be forcing things in at that point. Big mistake. I also had a problem with the throw to the pylon. He zips it, its a TD. Instead he tried to lead the receiver too much and allowed the defender to catch up.

Overall, was fine with Brock. But with shaky protection, a limited run game, and a lack of receiving options, Purdy did ok.

I agree that overall he played well but 2 INTs are a big deal in a close game. Their drive killers and can take the wind out of a team. I know he's trying to make plays when there isn't anything wide open but he has to learn he can't throw the ball up in certain parts of the field Especially when his throws hand in the air a little too long. He can make a lot of good throws but have it erased with one bad decision at a critcal moment.

He made 2 bone headed throws out of 35 attempts. I think we can criticize him for the really poor decisions and keep things in reality no?

Look, he only gets better. Plus, you sort of got to ride along with him. He will throw s**t that is so well done, you forget that he can't always do it that way. Other times, he will force something that can have very different results--either it works or it don't. If he gets it to work more than fail then I would say he is on his way to greatness. The margin of error is just so tiny between gunslinging moron and gunslinging winner.

I already brought up it was a mixed bag from Brock and I really hated that 2nd pick he threw.

Just people need to calm down and keep it to what it is. You have people b***hing about the game winning TD because it was risky. It was a game winning TD. We watched Moody miss a 27 yard FG with 0 pressure on it in the 2nd quarter. Do we want Brock leaving it up to Moody? Even if Kyle would've gone for it on 4th down there is no guarantee the play on that down would've been a better opportunity to score.

The throw was risky but with Tonges in the area he can also play defense. He took it away, we managed to close it down on defense finally again.

Yes he needs to avoid playing hero ball when he doesn't need to. THAT play, I believe he had to play hero ball and I'm glad it worked out for us.
