Brock needs to slice him off a bonus.

You need a 90% warning so you think before you post

What's wrong? Truth too painful for you? That was inches from his 3rd INT of the game.

I have been saying it for a while he's a good quarterback, but far from great. The team he had around him made him appear much better than he is. He's just not the QB that elevates.

Maybe 5 guys that do in all the NFL.
Gotta cut him some slack being week 1 and down a lot of weapons

He was clutch when it mattered

I agree with all of this, yeah not all of his throws were pretty but he found a way to win when it mattered.

Are you a hawkeye or cyclone?
So the vibe I'm getting from Niner Talk is that we hate Purdy because he won too ugly.

Riiiiiiight.

Some fans only dwell on what wasn't perfect. Brock made some mistakes but he also made some great throws and decisions.
- 1 of the INT was a great play by the LB. he dropped real deep, yo ucan tell he was watching film. lol
- 1 of the INT was a forced play by brock.
- We were missing kittle, which is huge loss, especially when we were down other guys.
- multiple drives with 0 points because of ST.

as a whole, we played an ugly game. brock didn't play his best game, but we won. we won IN seattle. we did a lot to beat ourselves but ultimately didnt. it's a positive. we clean up some things we would of been blowing them out. Seattle has a really good defense.

Seems Brock actually won this game for us. Hard to know if another qb does but Brock did with his last chance.

jimmy is always such a hard comp. He was great for us and did have clutch comebacks. But a lot of those o remember with prime deebo and kittle making huge yac plays. So how much was just jimmy or jimmy plus 1 of 1 prime studs.

Every QB suffers if they don't have more than 1-2 viable receiving targets. Purdy faced a lot of pressure today and also had to rely on Jake Tonges to make plays. No disrespect to Tonges, but that's not ideal.

I'm not in love with how Purdy forced things a few times this game, but overall he played really well considering everything.

It's week 1. It's okay to dwell on what wasn't perfect, and it's finally a diversion from some of you telling us it's going to be the greatest team ever come September.

With the way that D looked, there's alot of room for this team to improve. ALOT.

I'm more impressed by this win because of the two int's and the two missed FG. Are there some things to clean up sure.

I'm pretty convinced that he could literally walk on water and some of you guys would say it's because he can't swim. Led a game winning drive, we are 1-0. It's not like he had a lot to work with today for 4 quarters. Could he have made better decisions? Absolutely, but I would rather have a quarterback out there that lays it all on the line to win rather than one that plays not to lose. It wasn't perfect my any means, but they are far worse qb's in the league than Purdy, enjoy the win, we are 1-0, against a division opponent as well.

Lots of people live to complain

Meh, some just can't take criticism. That was not a great game by Brock and he's lucky Tonges bailed him out which what very well could've been another int. Now I'll take the win and it's far too early to panic but let's not act like he's free from criticisms.

Football is a game of inches.

Purdy will only get better as time goes by and getting some weapons back will help. If the team can win, ugly or not, just builds team character for later in the season
That throw for the 2nd Int was bad. Other than that, I was fine with his performance and that Seattle D was very good and we don't have much weapons with Kittle and JJ going out. We win, so it's all good!

is it bailing him out or him giving his wr a chance to make a play?

if certain other QBs go to their last read, roll out and throw on the run its just a great play.

brock was under a TON OF PRESSURE
we were down multiple key offensive weapons
lost a running back
pressure of overcoming special teams s**ttin the bed multiple times
AND give credit to seattle - they have a good defense.

we just had brock give a game winning drive, against a divisional rival, ON THE ROAD, with tons of adversity.

100% this. But the usuals in here are determined to be miserable.
