Montana to TB12 is Helga to Arnold (from Hey Arnold).
In my mind Montana is still the GOAT. As much as Brady b****ed every time someone hit him too hard, makes me think he wouldn't have gone far in the 80's & early 90's. Brady has more rings but Montana was a warrior JMHO![]()
Let's not turn this thread into another Brady vs Montana debate. I disagree with your thought process but I'd rather this stay a Purdy thread.
I just want to see Brock get back to what made him so good in 2023. Getting CMC back will definitely help and hopefully he won't feel the need to press now that he got paid. There may be a "prove your worth" situation happening but I think when he was able to review the season in retrospect he would realize playing hero ball actually doesn't show his real worth.
Seattle on the road should be a good first test for him. Both in McDonald's ability to make things difficult to read and with the injuries at WR. Hopefully Jennings is fully healthy and the chemistry Brock seems to have gained with Pearsall play out well despite the crowd noise in that stadium on the road.
Play within the scheme, protect the football and if plays break down make good decisions on risk vs reward.

I think Purdy will not take the chances he took last year as he stated a few times. I believe he will take check downs more and not hold the ball as much as he did. Naturally, barring injuries he has the players to score a lot of points this year and I'm looking forward to it. The team has to be better in the red zone. Turnovers and missed FG's & extra points probably cost the team 4-5 games last year. Can't wait for kickoff time and looking forward to a better defense also. Anyway……..Football is here and Go Niners
