"When [Brock Purdy] got into camp, I was like, 'Oh this guys is a dawg.' It was reminiscent of me being with Josh Allen. They're two different types of players...but Brock's going to be a really good player for a very long time. I have him top 5-10 QB's in the league." 👀

I know we have our own OLine problems, but holy smokes I hope we never have the Bengals OLine problems. I actually wonder if Brock could traverse the pocket better than Burrow? Im not saying Brock is a better QB than Burrow, but that he might make that OLine look better than it is. Maybe the Niners OLine is that bad and Brock puts a little power rangers bandaid on it?

I recall him playing a big role in the issues by holding onto the ball way to long

If that throw is a "dart" then Joe Montana is the 3rd best QB of just the 1980's.

Did he have a dart in his neck?

I wouldn't mind seeing him back. Dude was solid when he was healthy. Need all the quality depth we can get.
too bad he can't play tackle cause our backup tackle situation is god awful, IMO.

Which part? Regardless - lmao. I guess peeps just have different definitions of what a 'dart' throw is if you can set aside the BP homerism. That was just a 'toss' that should have been picked/deflected if a better corner was covering the receiver. But credit to BP for knowing that Eric Stokes sucks ass.
disclaimer: I strongly prefer BP over 1) Jimmy 2) Mac 3) Trey

Perfect ball placement against tight coverage. I'm not sure why you bring up the cb quality. A bad CB can have a great rep. A good CB can have a bad one.
Here, the cb played this about as well as you can play it off a PA. You think this is madden and there are a bunch of CBs in the league that just get a random speed boost to turn that throw into a pick? Lol, come on

Brock Purdy talks about trying to do too much last season:
— Coach Yac 🗣 (@Coach_Yac) August 26, 2025
"I would say I was frustrated about losing the Super Bowl, and it was like, Alright, we got to get back. That's all I saw, was getting back. And because some of those guys are out, I have to go make plays to get us back.… pic.twitter.com/y876s5PfFu

Not gonna lie I'm pretty nervous about it. Wish we knew Jennings could go, would make me feel better. Seattle D is going to be pretty good and while CMC, Kittle and Pearsall is still a pretty good group to work with it certainly becomes much easier for the opposing defense to account for them if nobody else out there can hurt you.
Getting Jennings out there and even with Juice gives Brock 5 guys who can burn a defense.
Also all the question marks on defense don't help the confidence level but unknowns can go either way. But definitely would feel more confident going into that game without the injuries and lack of snaps for guys expected to be big contributors early.

I just hate that we have to open on the road in two of the loudest stadiums to play. This team could easily start 0-2 despite having the talent to contend.
