This is great insight from AA who has been so well spoken before. We heard little bits of things like this from the WRs publicly but is interesting to hear that it was discussed behind the scenes. It a pretty powerful compliment. Means more than usual cliche's you can hear.

The desk jockeys, wannabe commentators and former executives..aka errand boys for the front office, will continue circle jerk each other to the same played out tune.. system qb. Can't carry a team ….. it's stupid, cheap and lazy. f**k those guys. I don't think they will ever change their tune. He does well.. it's the team. The team breaks down and it's him. These a-holes will never give him props. Just keep us in contention and do you Brock.

I never really liked the term system QB. All QBs must fit whatever system they play in. I know it's meant to belittle a QBs athletic ability but many QBs have proven you can win without being a great runner, exceptionally mobile or capable of throwing the ball 80 yards in the air.

Purdy is a good fit for Kyle's system. Maybe he wouldn't be as good in another system. You could say that about Lamar Jackson or Allen. They might not work as well in Kyle's system even though both are exceptionally gifted athletes.

If Nick actually cared to be correct on his Purdy take he could easily see that Brock with all the issues on offense last year - including CMC only playing in 3 games with Brock(4 in total) and really not looking like himself save Buffalo where he ended up getting hurt again. We still had the #4 offense in the NFL in yards. 13th in points which of course was the big issue.

But clearly showing that Purdy can still produce without CMC, it's just another level when he's healthy and playing.

Everything that could go wrong last year to make Purdy have a down year happened. Couldn't really catch a break for things not under his control and he still was a competent QB. Lots of other starting QBs would of completely crashed and burned with what the 49ers had to deal with.

I think this year will finally show us exactly what we can expect from Purdy going forward. I really hope he plays soo good that he is in the MVP conversation at the end of the year.
