I have a hard time understanding that.

good for jon to stand up for his crew. we give too much grief to OL tbh.

im curious what brocks rate is over the last 3 years. It felt like, to me, that he was checking down way less this year. I wonder if it had to do with who the running back options were (at least with Mason). Mason did make some nice grabs but it seemed like rb passes had a steep drop off without CMC.

still early for him but boy caleb williams really sucks.

Yes we do. Blaming the OL for everything is such a lazy cop out.
You tell em Brock! Stupid critiques that don't even make sense. Of course, he can play in the rain and is not a system qb. Click bait takes or just stupid ones from ppl who dnt watch the games.

Pretending the OL is fine is also lazy. Feels like the narrative is picked depending on which picture you want to paint.

Is it the worst OL in the league? No. Does it need a bunch of improvement and concerns for the future? Yes.

Brendel and Banks were simply not up to snuff last year. McKivitz got a lot of heat from people who were just used to giving him crap but he took a big step forward last year. He still had his bad beats which is what a lot of folks remember but if he can take another similar jump from last year to this year he will be a top 15 RT for sure, maybe even higher.

We need Trent Williams healthy and playing up to his ability. We need Bartch/Burford to run with the LG spot and give us an upgrade over Banks last season. We need Puni to keep the arrow pointing up and McKivitz to do what I said above.

Brendel just scares the crap out of me. My only hope is if he's our starting center again this year that Kyle has made some changes with our protection schemes where defenses can't get a jump on us...and that Brendel was dealing with injuries or something last year.

on banks not up to snuff, the same banks got 4 years $77m in FA. we had a backup tackle who is projected the starting left tackle for arguably the best team on paper. so we often knock these guys, the rest of the league is paying our players.

great quote from Brock too but no surprise there
All teams generally want to make additions to their OLs and DLs to eventually see some "improvement."

Sure we want improvements and an infusion of young talent there,...but so does everyone else so this really doesn't tell us anything.

Seems like a template for apologizing for the QB. I remember the same exact stuff with Jimmy lovers (nothing was ever really his fault) and so it kinda gets old IMO.

This offensive line is not good. We don't invest in it either. We don't put a lot of capital into it. Both in the draft and free agency.

to me it's a good line. pass pro starts from outside in. i'm not aware of teams wanting to protect the passer with an elite center. that's not how it works. you get elite bookend tackles and we have a HOF LT. our OL is capable of putting on a clinic in the run game. go back and watch week 1, we depantsed a jets team, led by our now defensive coordinator. it was clinical in the run game. that's an example of what this OL can put on pretty much any team in the league when they are clicking.

Who said the OL is fine? Not a single person. constant complaining about OL play or them being the worst OL in the league…is in fact dramatic.

There's constant complaining about poor OL play and it being the scapegoat for others bad play or the team not doing what they need to do on offense.

outside of the eagles and lions, every single fan base "complains" about their OL. It's the lazy take.

All of this.

I dnt recall anyone saying that this is the worst OL in the league or Brock is without fault on anything.

Anyone who thinks Brenda is not to really be concerned about..idk what to tell ya.

I don't particularly care what Green Bay did. I hope that move works out as well for them as us signing Gabe Wilkins.

I wanted to keep Jaylon Moore for a reason but he wasn't going to start over Trent or Colton. Our issue last year was LG and C. LG is being replaced. C is what worries me the most...along with OT AFTER this season.
