We're in the QB thread talking about the QB. If you want to deflect and say kyle's play calling is the reason he's tossing these late game INTs, then let's go in the HC thread and discuss it. All I ever stated was no that's complete nonsense…the QB plays a massive part in success and failure for a team. No, the play calling isn't the complete reason he's not making the plays late in games.

dude, SF was going to SBs with the Jake Brendel's of the world all the same. Last I checked he was the center when they were scoring more points than anyone in 2023. Brock's overall pressured numbers were actually down in 2024 compared to 2023. Yes they need better there, end of the day the QB matters a whole s**t load more than any center and constantly deflecting to the center being bad as to why our QB tosses a INT is dumb.

Yes there's a ton of context, but people saying it was all scheme, all OL or all WR play as to why Brock wasn't 2023 good, is simply not true. He plays a MASSIVE part in if he's good or not. That shouldn't be a hot take. Why can't folks accept that?

and I want to make it crystal clear, I'm glad he got signed. Good fair deal. He's a good young QB. We need better play in those late game drives. That's when a QB is suppose to separate himself from everyone else and be great. We should expect that from him at this point going forward.

Brock wasn't 2023 good because Trent, CMC, Aiyuk were all completely useless.

false. his passes notably lacked zip and that has zero to do with supporting cast.

Its almost as if this is the first time he has ever reported on a contract extension. SMH.

Should not matter, nor should it matter that our first pick WR got shot and was out several weeks, that our kicker has the major yips. Sucks azz. Center, pretty much crap. Greenlaw injured, defense weakened, Deebo dropped balls, Campbell quits his sorry ass on the team like a little B...Sorenson, complete garbage..should be out surfing, it is probably what he is doing right now, BA missing camp, going on TMZ, playing rusty to where Brock probably didn't trust him as much, then yeah, leg gets popped in half. Oh and wasn't Ronnie Bell still doing his volleyball moves? Despite all of this...Brock has to be the glue that holds everything together and win it all for the Bay...and if he isn't...I mean..he has to be better ...but let me be clear for the 10x, I am glad he signed lolol.

this is a joke post. you can evaluate the QB based on what the QB is doing. Campbell walking off has nothing to do with Brock's game or level of play. zero. most ppl simply conflate team success with what the QB is doing, and your post is along those lines. you give reasons why the team failed last season. i watched brock, and try to judge him based on what his game looks like. he didn't look accurate at times, he was holding the ball too long at times, and his passes were soft tosses. lost some mph on the ol fastball.

So, you don't think missing their best lineman and two best offensive weapons were part of the reasons his numbers fell off from 2023?

That seems silly. You do you.

forget numbers. QB numbers are a team stat, unless the QB is blocking for himself, and calling his own play, and throwing to himself. there are other ppl involved. focus on what the QB is doing. i talk about brock lacking zip, i saw 20+ posters say that last season, and you misdirect into OL. the OL has nothing to do with that. zero. less than zero.

No, he wasn't accurate at times, I am not disputing that. Forcing stuff, playing hero ball...cause the pressure was so high from all the cluster cluck going on. He had some real adversity after being spoiled with an all star roster. I am sure he learned quite a bit from it. He is still learning, young. Hopefully, our team will be more settled, balanced, healthy and things will get back on track.

What were his zip numbers?

Stopped watching after a minute forty. First glance, TBH, idk who that person was, didn't wait to find out, maybe I am supposed to, lol I dnt care. Everyone knows who Brock is and what he can do. I dnt even watch shows or hardly any commentary cause it's all daytime drama now..when it used to be thoughtful analysis and discussion. It's mostly brainless, b talk nowadays.

Every time I've heard Shady talk about the Niners or Brock he makes himself sound dumb lol

Shady doesn't like it. But Chase and Acho like the deal. I think he's slotted about right based on the market. Whatever you think of him. He's better than Trevor Lawrence and Tua. Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Lamar should make more. Hurts is possibly under paid. But as much as people complain Purdy is on a great team. Hurts is on a powerhouse team. That team is awesome. Plus they pay attention to the lines.
