QB Brock Purdy Thread

They had to pay him. What was the alternative?
He's the best QB Kyle had in his career as an offensive playcaller with Matt Ryan. And who knows maybe he will have a better career than Matt Ryan ultimately. He's young and can definitely improve.
The contract is exactly what you would expect. And I appreciate that Brock was not greedy. He earned his contract but he didn't act like he wanted to be the most paid player in the league. He was really professional.
Super happy for him and his family.

And they're all paid less than Trevor Lawrence and Dak Prescott.

And Purdy is paid less than warriors Jimmy Butler ($55 mil) .... so sports stars contracts are just crazy insane high
few things

1. good for him to get his contract
2. we probably bid against ourselves by a good margin, (tho not the crazy amount ppl were saying we would)
3. at least it's done and we can move forward

I wish I was 6'6" with a better than 30" vertical.

all of these guys are better than Purdy

Lol found the guy who doesn't understand how QB contracts and the salary cap work.

What year were each of them signed? Let's start there.

Also, Purdy has accomplished infinitely more than Herbert.

You can hit threes though I bet.
#49ers Brock Purdy when down 1-8 points in 4th quarter or OT in regular season or playoffs:
41 for 72 for 502 yards, 3 TDs, 7 INTs, 52.9 passer rating

(Purdy ranks 151st out of 160 QBs with 50+ attempts in that scenario since 2000)

And all of these guys are paid more than Tom Brady was and they're all worse than him.
Also they make more in one year than the actual GOAT Joe Montana probably did in his career as a football player.
That's what they call salary cap increase I think but I'm not sure.

no he hasn't, unless you are trying to say team success under shanny is a brock accomplishment, when other guy played with staley. it's about who's game is better.
Congrats Brock! Jed sold 7% of the team to paid Brock

You're right, I looked it up. They were never on the field together last year.

So does that mean 57 snaps in the last three years?

they are both team stats, can't have passer rating in a vacuum and you don't play late game in one either
I will take Brock over Lawrence every single time too. Totally underwhelming qb. And yeah, I would pick Brock over Dak as well.
