QB Brock Purdy Thread

Find some under the radar FA signings here in the second phase of free agency and then kill this draft.

We may not be SB level team on paper but we'll see how the draft plays out and see if our coaching can work some magic.

Trent, CMC, and Kittle have about 1 or 2 good years left in them probably. Not sure CMC and Trent will be what they were in the past and Kittle had one of his healthier seasons, but he takes and gives a lot of punishment.

They are probably not part of the next run. Warner may be.

We were all disappointed on the way last season went. Many fans have been calling for a rebuild. Now that they appear to be doing that some people don't like it. NFL players age quickly and performance drops off . It's a necessary part of the game to let older players go and restock with younger players.

That's what the draft is for. Free agency isn't supposed to be the way you build a team. It should be used sparingly because of the high costs associated with it. Fillmin the gaps if needed. Maybe sign one really good starter and a few players for depth. Unfortnately if you miss too often in th draft you need to rely more and more on free agency. Then you end up with a lot of older players that are often getting paid too much.

Brock will see a different team this year than he did last year. Hopefully it's a better team both defensively and offensively. When he signs a big contract fans will expect more from him. Good stats and a playoff spot aren't going to be enough. He'll be under even more pressure to win a SB.

How is CMC wishful thinking? He broke down last season. He had one of his lowest yards per attempt of his career, a whole yard lower than Mason, Gurendo, and even lower than Taylor Jr. He is going into his age 29 season with a lot of miles. Usually RBs decline around 30.

CMC was also often injured with the panthers. Go look at how many games he's missed in his career.

sounds like you weren't here for the season if you want to pretend he "broke down" and counting his attempts as being the lowest and comparing that to the other RBs

and when you want to use words like usually.. that is a clear sign of wanting things to happen

Cousins isn't good enough to take purdys job anymore so he would be disgruntled. Just like how he is now.

True but even if purdy holds out he's still going to come back and want to get his 6 games credit for the season.

Then the drama will start.

Kyle does love himself some cousins. Cousins probably still wants 35 mill a season considering what Geno and darnold got.

You understand what yards per attempt means? Has nothing to do with attempts.

So he didn't break down in preseason from the calf injury the season before? He tried to come back and it got worse. He even aggravated his other calf.
