I get they are not this simple.

Yet that is exactly what a good agent is going to use as the benchmark.

certainly guaranteed is more important than APY.

This

Purdy has earned it, just like Deebo & B.A earned it.

Pay the man

Purdy more than earned it.

Yea he did, we can't move the goal post when it comes time to pay our guys.

I hate to say this, but BA and Deebo had 1 big year each and were paid....Purdy has had 2 great years and 1 solid year on a team with injuries all over. He needs to be paid...it just needs to work so that the team can be built around him.

I think you gave him one extra year but I get your point.

I will take it a step further, he's a starting QB in the NFL and that costs money.

Yeah, I corrected right after I posted.
Brock has one of the highest career passer ratings of ANY QB who has EVER played the game. He's not on the lists because he hasn't made 1500 attempts. Next year, he'll be on the list and even if he duplicate's this year, he'll still be top 5 ever. Josh Allen's Career average is below than Purdy's worst year.

And yet anyone with eyes would agree purdy isn't really close to the player Allen is. Stats don't tell every story

The Buffalo Bills paid their quarterback on Sunday afternoon.

The Bills agreed to a six-year, $330 million extension with Josh Allen on Sunday, the team announced. According to multiple media reports, the deal includes $250 million guaranteed, which is the largest guarantee ever given to an NFL player.

Should we all duck and cover?

I disagree. I think it is close...but maybe close is perspective. Purdy is a top 7qb..maybe better. Allen is a top 3.

Purdy is in 10-15 range imo. I'm sure there are outliers within given fanbases but an unbiased person would say purdy really isn't close. I do think purdy is a good QB and do hope we extend him

Purdy is not a top 7 QB. As mentioned, stats don't tell the entire story. Brock struggles when it rains for Christ's sake

I think Allen is anywhere from 1-3. Purdy is somewhere between 11-15 in my opinion. Don't get me wrong. I like Purdy and think he should get a reasonable contract. But in no way is he even close to the player Josh Allen is

In the rain? That's your argument?

We're agreed on Allen. We obviously have different opinions on Purdy. If I agreed with you, I'd come to the same conclusion.

$45m about right. His hands too small to hold much more

Lol. Purdy isn't even remotely close to the player Allen is. Stats don't paint the complete picture.

Wake me up when Josh Allen wins something.
