Tough call. Stafford has the pedigree, but Brock has statistically been better every season. I would take the guy that's 12 years younger and currently better

He lacks the arm that Stafford has. He's a lot more mobile than Stafford so your take isn't fully correct.

And no matter what people want to pretend Stafford isn't the same guy who led the Rams to the SB. Yes he's still an excellent QB but he's getting by on his arm talent and what he did before. End of the day results matter and his results last year were worse than Brock from the numbers perspective. We can get into it about who was more clutch for his team but when Matt was missing key pieces on offense he was playing bad football.

There is no question Matt can make throws Brock can only dream of making but Brock doesn't need to make those throws if he's making ones he capable of making.

Age matters when it comes to contracts as does the growth potential of the QB.

Trey Lance is going to be a Free Agent. No Big Contract signed and Purdy's QB coach is replaced.

Staff has the arm.. but staff doesn't have the touch Purdy has. Staff has only two throws, on a line or a 50/50 ball down the field
