i turn that around on you. i think the whole football universe says brock and the other guy aren't in the same sentence. i get that. you struggle with it. you act like they are equals. that's your moving posts and not being able to evaluate the position. you struggle to evaluate cuz you got the rose glasses on for the 49ers. that's fine, you can homer, but just don't tell me jennings is better than chase. i'll disagree with you every time when you pull stuff like that

Anybody that thought Trey would be competing with Brock after Brock's rookie year doesn't know what they're talking about. That includes you

sorry bud, doubling down on your bad analysis doesn't get you any closer to being whatever you think you are getting to

you can't have different goalposts for the same takes

let's keep it on brock, i'm not here to talk trey or patrick. i make a point about us bidding against ourselves, and notice how ppl want to spin into 15 other conversations. how about let's keep it on topic? the obvious topic is brock and his contract.

of course lets just hide your bad QB evaluation

but if you want to keep it on brock only.. then who cares if we're bidding with ourselves

how does it include me?

All you talked about was your excitement amount the completion and how you see 3 potential starters lol. Just thinking Trey could compete with Sam is enough to take your qb evaluation card away

i'm not getting into the old news. more interested in the brock convo than talking about other posters. you do raise an interesting point. i don't think the actual guy who took trey lance had his card taken away. he still runs things.

Cool, but don't act like you know anything just because you ride Mahomes nuts. Nick wright does that and he's braindead

I still think he gets $60M. $50M would be a massive win and I'm signing him for as many years as possible if he's content with that salary. $50M is going to look like pennies in three years—it won't even be a 10-highest paid QB salary come the start of this next season.

i think he would struggle to get paid on the FA market. ppl would say he's undersized, with arm limitations and would prefer a rookie or a cheap more toolsy reclamation project. we are bidding ourselves into irrelevance.

Same could be said for Love, Goff or Lawrence. Good QBs don't hit the FA market.

Gotta love the 49ers negotiating against themselves, AGAIN.
Purdy on the open market doesn't even get close to a baker mayfield type contract. Last year was bad AND he's injury prone.

This is how all QB, first non-rookie, contracts work.

all those guys are round 1. NFL GMs already made a determination and valued those guys a lot more than brock. that evaluation changes over time watching these guys play, but certain parts of it haven't changed much. brock is still a lil undersized with a poor arm, for example.

Some opinions align with losers like Florio and Simms

Others opinions align with real football people like Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, and Jon Gruden

Draft position is irrelevant at this point. It isn't a negotiation factor.

Brock was arguably the best deep ball passer in 2023. Your opinion on his arm is garbage.

How about the guy who gave away the farm and set us back years and years for that trash pick?
