If Brock was running for his life in the SB like Mahomes was..we would never hear the end of it. But since it's Mahomes..it's more like, "one of the best there is..they had to cut corners on their roster." So, Mahomes was actually a victim. Lol. None of those sacks were really his fault at all, it was the budget. Lolol what a joke. When Mahomes got his sixth sack..my thought was, Brock would never. Patrick was terrible in that game lol

The nfl doesn't like Brock? lol why? Also rankings are so subjective. Everyone has a different opinion of that stuff.

Cause they don't, I will leave it at that:)
i would look to add daniel jones. he's 6'5, 230, can make all the throws, athletic, a total package type player and shanny can get better ball out of him. that would be an ideal QB option if he's on the QB2 market. then if brock goes into a extended contract dispute we have a QB to run the offseason. i don't much care for b allen and dobbs is out the door. purdy and jones now that would be an improved QB room. 1 year 9m. brock's deal doesn't kick in right away so we would still not be spending much at the QB position.

I don't care about those rankings. As you said they're subjective. Fans usually tend to rate their players higher. It's only natural that when you watch a guy every week you're going to appreciate him more unless he's really bad. I have no problem with Brock being anywhere from 8 to 14.

It's always gonna be draft bias and that Purdy isn't a modern dual threat QB. That's the double whammy against him that he'll never overcome. Brady won three SBs and people STILL didn't fully buy into him because he wasn't a high pick and had a great defense and kicker who he "relied on". Brady only got unquestioned top QB respect when he passed 50 TDs and went 16-0 in 2007. Losing the SB and not completing the 19-0 season didn't even factor into it after that - it was the stats that elevated him in the talk of the sports writers.

Mostly true but I do think he could be more of a dual threat qb, he definitely has had some dual threat plays.

If that happened I'd expect Saleh to immediately resign and find a job elsewhere.

Aside from our game against them, did you watch them in the regular season at all this year? They were probably the luckiest, most over-achieving 15-game winner in NFL history.

Mahomes did not win 15 games. Chris Jones, Butker, and their opponents being consistently stupid won them 15 games. Mahomes didn't even have a Pro Bowl year.

I get it. "Herp derp good teams WIN they find ways to WIN!! THEY'RE SO AMAZING!!" I could understand that argument… if they had won maybe 2-3 games on literally the last play and won most other games by 8-10 points. They won EIGHT games on literally the last play this year—And it always took their opponent being a total moron at the end to do it. The Raiders literally fumbled a basic snap ffs. How does that make Mahomes so great?

i push back on the luck take. they have a first ballot HOF QB, and HOF HC, and perhaps HOF DC, with a DPOY type DT, and a host of young talent. so i see a lot of competitive advantage (that may give the appearance of luck). you give any NFL city a HOF HC and HOF QB and they will probably get very lucky real fast. i feel in SF we do more to fulfill the coach side of the equation than the QB side.
"Perhaps HOF DC"
Lol clueless..
Good to see Brock still not signed. If 49'ers thought he was superman, he would have been signed by now. I want him as our QB but in the 30-35 million range. Each day we don't extend him is good news to me.
