Shook placed Purdy at No. 14—just behind his former backup, Sam Darnold (No. 13), and others like Geno Smith and Jordan Love.
Above average and young? I'll take it.

Honestly going off of this season, Sam Darnold SHOULD be a top 5 QB. And IMO, Purdy should be top 10 at the very least, but I'm gonna say #12.

While some might brush off offseason rankings, Purdy's spot is noteworthy as he negotiates a contract extension. There's little doubt he will secure the biggest contract in 49ers history. The real question is how his annual salary will stack up against the NFL's highest-paid quarterbacks.
Goff 4
Mahomes 8
Smith 10
Seems like engagement bait.

I have Purdy at 10. SB season I had him at 6.
He didn't have much to work with last year.
Hoping he trends up this year.

I don't want to jinx anything but it's hard to imagine given how last season went down that we wouldn't trend up.
I'm excited that Brock is getting to work with Pearsall and Cowing this offseason. I think both guys make a big jump 2nd year in this offense. Just sucks that Aiyuk is rehabbing from his injury cuz getting him back in sync with Brock would've been big as well.
I certainly hope that we look to get rid of Brendel and bring in a proper vet center to help get the OL confusion sorted out. Also hoping Kyle gives Brock more control at the line. If Jalen Hurts is able to adjust the route his receiver will run on that play, Brock should 100% be able to do the same.

agree on all points.
I would like to see a 2nd competent pass catching TE as well.

You give him an Edelman and he will be unstoppable. Whether that's a slot receiver who just beats his guy 90% of the time with strong hands or a tight end that boxes guys out and out jumps guys.
If cowing or pearsall can emulate Antonio Brown in his prime and take some short slants across the middle to the house Brock would tear it up as well.
The guy can feed the rock in tight windows and over the middle with touch. He just needs receivers who are fast and with good hands.
And I'll add average blocking is needed as well. Immediate pressure and missed blocks happen way too much. Especially brendel literally being ragged dolled thrown into him or pushed back where he can't even step up.

Agree with you two. I just don't want to be too biased cause he did have bad games. But he also didn't have his starting weapons out there either.
I hope Lynch signs a solid veteran like Tee Higgins or
should I say Davante Adams!! I would love it if they signed Amari Cooper but he has problems staying healthy. But I would love to see what Brock could do with one of them along with Pearsall, Jennings and Aiyuk!!!

I'd love that but that's a pretty tough ask lol. Antonio Brown as crazy as he is now is one of the best WRs to play the sport. If we could get one of those guys to be anywhere near a prime Antonio Brown we're going to be a ok.
This is a good TE draft. Overall I think it lines up pretty well with our needs. Definitely not the best OT class as a lot of OT prospects are probably more interior players but we can use help there too. DL class is super loaded.

Not surprised NFL placed him at 14, cause they just dnt like him, despite the success he has had, lots of bs. Behind Sam-who saw so many ghosts, that he had brain freeze and collapsed in the playoffs. Same with Goff, thought he was in a haunted house. 👻 Love appears to be overrated and Geno? Lol. If Brock was running for his life in the SB like Mahomes was..we would never hear the end of it. But since it's Mahomes..it's more like, "one of the best there is..they had to cut corners on their roster." So, Mahomes was actually a victim. Lol. None of those sacks were really his fault at all, it was the budget. Lolol what a joke. When Mahomes got his sixth sack..my thought was, Brock would never. Patrick was terrible in that game lol
