Kermit looked a lot like Purdy last night. Running for his life, forced to make plays that ended in picks… it's what happens when your oline takes the night off and when the referees actually call what they see for both sides. Funny how that works…

GET OUR MAN PROPERLY PROTECTED and we will be hoisting the trophies. There is no debate. We have our guy at qb. Now we need ,D line. O line, CB , LB and 1 more reliable receiver. Let's stop wasting time and energy on his contract… get it done and fill in the missing pieces.

Brock has played a few bad games but nothing like that, especially considering the magnitude of the game. He's never taken 6 sacks plus turn the ball over that much with the stakes so high.

He never faced a hungry and ferocious D line like that either. You aren't saying Brock is better than Mahomes are you?
as a pocket passer i would say yes

Okay. Enjoy your weed.
They need to pay him so we at least know what we have to play with for other free agents this year. They can't drag this out of it puts the entire team in limbo.

I love Brock but nah man...

Now I don't know what was going on with Mahomes yesterday. First time I remember seeing him so shook but like I said earlier...when a team can rush 4 and consistently generate pressure and they have a good secondary behind that rush it's a tough time for any QB facing that situation.

That's how we used to smother Rodgers and really how we should've smothered KC in 2019 had the refs not allowed them to hold without consequences. This KC version with their OL issues was arguably their worst SB team. So in that regard Eagles got lucky. Eagles probably win vs last year's team as well with the squad they had out there but we also win that game had Greenlaw and Feliciano not gotten injured early.

Just how it goes sometimes.

These are meaningless words. Let's look at the structure:

Jalen Hurts' yearly cap hits with the Philadelphia Eagles under his current contract are as follows:

- **2023**: $6.15 million

- **2024**: $13.56 million (5.2% of the cap)

- **2025**: $21.77 million

- **2026**: $31.77 million

Now that context has been added and fluff words have been left out...

With hits like these,... what do you think the Eagles have been able to do around him? He hasnt even hit $15M yet.

I'd be thrilled for Purdy to have a similar structure.

Maybe if you weren't busy trying to dunk on people's takes left and right you'd have picked up the fact that for months I've been saying I expect Brock's contract to be very similar to Hurts' and there is a reason I put "highest QB contract" in quotes...

Thank you.

Been saying this to certain posters for months as well, but was falling on deaf ears (blind eyes for forum posting?). Its comical that those same posters are now regurgitating OUR argument now instead of just listening months ago.

No I'm not saying that, just pointing out if that was Brock in a SB he would've been crucified till the cows came home. With Pat it's chalked up to just having one of those games and Brock it'll be, why the hell is he s**tting the bed so bad.

It also helps out a D when they know your one dimensional. KC only ran the ball 7 times the entire game, they never gave Hunt or Pacheco a chance, especially to start the game. Your in trouble when Mahomes is the leading rusher with 25 yds

The chiefs offense these last few years has been very 2006 ish. Ball control, first downs slowly but surely, run the ball for 2-3 yards a play but usually end up with the first down. They haven't been the same type of high powered offense for a few years now

that's the type of offense Vic fangio defense almost always ate up, especially when they got turnovers. Forcing those type of offenses to play out of character.

I didn't watch the game but based on what I've read and seen of the chiefs the last few years, that's how I saw it.

It was just a weird game by the Chiefs. I don't want to take away anything from the Eagles cuz they played great but Andy Reid fumbleruskied the hell out of that game.

It felt like they went into this game with the "we're going to let Patrick be special here" and right out of the gate it looked like Mahomes faked one way then quickly threw the other. Got a quick first down. Then from there it was all downhill. They didn't do much to cool down the Eagles pass rush. I thought they made a big mistake not moving Thuney back to LG for this one. The strength of the Eagles front was their DTs. I think they would've been better off giving their edge guys the easier matchups where Patrick could still roll or step up.

Spags D held out for a while but eventually the lopsided score made it too tough to defend the Eagles. Then it was too little too late.

I don't know if Brock would've done much better given our OL being worse but I can't help but think we would've put up more of a fight vs Philly which is crazy to say.

Shanny did this last year and he will prob do it this year. He has zero self awareness

Chiefs just got sooooo used to the other team gift-wrapping them the W every single time this season (as a matter of fact, for the last THREE seasons) that they expected to just walk on to the field and beat the Eagles.

Mahomes was probably expecting the refs to throw flags on the Eagles for "disrespecting greatness" or some BS.

Shanahan doesn't pay the players lmao. Thank you for telling everyone your opinions aren't based on facts, though.

The Chiefs shouldn't have been there this year and last. I don't even think PM still can read a defense as he struggles when he stays in the pocket. PM and Kelce don't even stay in shape and just wing it out there. That's why i think the offense has dropped. KC has been bailed out by a good defense and Ref favoritism.

Since you didn't watch, the big difference in the game was KC actually getting called for offense line penalties and they couldn't hold DL anymore.. and with that couldn't protect PM. We did the same thing to KC in our SBs but just got held on every play.

Philly shouldn't have been there either, but that is another story.

Said it before the playoffs that this season was a joke, and a healthy SF team would have steamrolled everyone.
The Eagles overpowered the Chiefs O line and completely dominated the first half. I think it stunned Reid and Spags since that just doesn't happen to the Chiefs. They were unable to come up with a way to stop the defensive onslaught because they were physically overmatched. It wasn't some exotic scheme change. The Chiefs D actually did a decent job. They stopped thre run game but it allowed some openings for Hurts to run through. They held the Eagles to 345 yards which was actually pretty good.
