I call you out on your posts cuz all you do around here is battle other people on their takes and have no problem leaving out context in the process.

No. We need less clutter, not more. I'm a proponent of less posts with a bunch of people saying they agree over and over. I respond and highlight things I disagree with; there's always room for follow-ups to a point and for context,...another thing I'm a proponent of.

So you are wanting to make off-base claims and leave out - as you said - context in the process? Sorry, but, sports success is a relative thing. Comparisons CANT be left out of competition,...regardless whether you care about it or not.

Trying to blame the opinion people have of his game partly on his defense (relative to other great players) is just asinine.

People have been watching [Patrick Mahomes] very closely FOR YEARS and no, they aren't getting his true level of play confused with the defense's level of play. It's just flat-out untrue.

Either you're overly-involved with all things 49ers-only, or you simply haven't been watching the guy.

Not to show boat, but I have no one on ignore.

I don't have everyone on ignore. Just people who I feel offer nothing to the conversations here. I don't agree with everything you say but at least I respect that you're putting your point out there.

If I think people are just posting to troll or stir s**t up without offering their own takes to be scrutinized then I don't need to see what they have to say

Anyways...back to Brock. Let's get this deal done quick so everyone can see it's team friendly and kick this offseason's ass and get back to winning games and hopefully SBs.
Purdy is also generally good against defense rotation. Many times he adjusts to man becoming zone, and he's not fooled by Tampa or robber defenders. It's much smarter to show zone and run man against him, which is something teams haven't tried much. You would need to draw up plays that still work when the niners motion to scout out man coverage. The right side of their OL is much weaker and Purdy often has to roll out to react to this. Not a lot of teams have taken advantage of this, though lately Feliciano has been holding up well there. Another thing to realize is that certain receivers only run certain kinds of routes:

Did you forget last season? If so…can I join you?

it was a very forgettable season. no real signature moments outside of jennings blocking ppl all up and down the greater nor cal area.

True that, especially, after I saw what happened during the Bills game. Ridiculous lol..NFL clearly has a qb preference . Eagles penalty-palooza incoming.

Scary we are all pulling for the eagles lol.

I'm not rooting for either. We all know Mahomes and KC will 3peat.

I am rooting for the three peat.

Try and see if you can tone down the personal stuff. I know from your previous love affair with Jimmy how emotional you can be about your QB. But what about sticking to the topics instead of the extra stuff? It gets old to me, and I'd rather just discuss the topics, not how good or bad of a poster someone is.

Now that that's out the way...are you walking back a stupid comment? Here is what you originally said, not this new quote above:

but key plays by his defense are absolutely part of why he's considered to be as great as he is.

I'll explain the sarcasm regarding Montana and Brady if it's over your head: Patrick Mahomes is not the first QB to have a defense that tries to get the ball back. Others have as well,...but it doesn't mean they're good or safe with the ball in their hands.

Saying that the defenses are a big part of the credit he gets is just a stupid thing to say. Horribly stupid suggestion,...lol. He still somehow got his 2nd ring with a total defense that was 21st in the NFL.

"Yea but....KC's defense has made critical plays." So what?? Any QB with SB rings has had his defense make critical plays,...so this isin't a one-off.

Our total defense was better yardage-wise than his this year, but you'd never know it by comparing the team records, and the main reason why would be the QBs. Yea, the QBs can help defenses out, too. It's a team game,...lol.

Not only is he a playmaker,...but he's only thrown an INT in 1 of his last 11 games,...none in the playoffs.

It's clear that the plays he makes over and over again are why he's considered to be as great as he is. No one considers Joe Flacco to be anything close to great due to the Ravens defense he had, do they?

But those "my team's QB" emotions run high, so I don't expect any logical retorts.

The irony

You comment on me personally when I reply to someone else, all the time.

I am as well. If they 3 peat, no way they are back in the SB next year, or at least they won't have the refs.

Goodell won't let the Chiefs get to a 4th, so it makes our chances better.

I say give him 5/262 to represent replacing Trey Lance (#5) at pick 262. $52.4 mil per year.

but he only gets 1 and 1/4 year of guaranteed money because lance only had 1 game and 1 quarter.

I hate to say this about anybody, but I hope it rains on KCs' parade. That would be so lovely.
