If you adjust for the dropped passes, Purdy would have completed 71.4% of his passes. He also had a 1st down rate of 42.9% which was his best yet and is well above league average. He also was 50% on 3rd down with a TD. We had 12 total drives and only faced 8 3rd down situations. We were Purdy damn efficient on 1st and 2nd down.

There's no reason to adjust for dropped passes since few of them were on accurate throws. People were calling that throw to Jennings a drop, but Purdy under threw it by a good 10 yards allowing the DB to break it up. Should not be considered a drop.
Nice to see a QB who can still win a game when the defense completely blows mud.

True.
Also a plus he throws the ball away instead of taking a sack

These are the intangibles required to win championships. 100%

That wasn't even recorded as a drop. Nice of you to assume just to try and counter my post.
To me, Brock's story is as intriguing as grocery checker Kurt Warner's was. Here's hoping for a similar fairy tale ending this season.

Yeah, we'd need to look at every single drop and determine if it was the QB or the WR's error.
But even still... every great QB will have accountability and say that they should deliver a more catachable ball for their receivers.

All in all though... I do agree with the overall point. Purdy has been efficient. And even when he and his receivers were not 100% on the same page, and sharp, they moved the ball very well.

Did I say you were considering it a drop? Which "drops" are you referring to? None of the "drops" were on well placed throws and therefore should not be counted.

Yea I can't tell if the rest of the league is on notice, or if we showed vulnerability yesterday. On one hand our offense carried us to a W and Purdy played good. On the other hand our defense showed major weakness.

PFF has Purdy's adjusted completion percentage at 78.1%. So they must have seen even more passes beyond the drops that should have been caught but were not.
