And in the beginning of the 3rd quarter, I felt they should've opened with the run. But I think they wanted to try and catch them off guard like they did Washington to start the half.

But the 9ers won, so I'm good.

What about the balls that were dropped and the plays that were missed by the actual players, though?

I mean the defense as a whole is able to get blame (just based on your percentages). Why does every player on offense get a pass?

The fact we were able to March down the field TWICE! Is so awesome! Nothing better than a clutch QB.

Our kicker missed, but that was an outlier. I'm not concerned about Gould - he'll come through for us in the playoffs like he always have

On the flipside, he had a bunch of things today that I did not like. He predetermined a lot of throws today, and subsequently missed bigger plays. He was also very inaccurate on multiple deep shots, which we haven't really seen. He also moved to his 2nd and 3rd reads just as his previous read was breaking wide open.

Every one of those complaints are things Jimmy did regularly and Brock did today. While today was the first time I had any of those issues with Brock, I can only hope it was a one off thing and not something we have to worry about moving forward.

Overall, happy with the win and Brock's play in crunch time. But a lot of the game I was getting Jimmy vibes, and that's not a good thing.

Can't disagree with any of this. He's gotten a little worse each game. The numbers, particularly QB rating, show this, but it's pretty evident just from the eye test as well. If he keeps declining each game, it won't be long before it's basically like having Jimmy out there, which is not a good thing whenever it's the playoffs.

Worse each game? Lol all based off of the QBR? I'm not saying he doesn't have things he needs to get better at but I don't think he's declined at all every game.

he just won a shootout on the road with the second seed on the line. If this is as bad as Purdy is. - then wow! We are in for a great ride.

you can't expect to blow out everyone - which is what we've done for most of his starts. So you're not going to get those beautiful stats every game, hell most games you won't.

49ersRing and his negative vibes, you should've seen him in the gameday. You could change his name to CowboysRing and you wouldn't know the difference.

It's one thing to be pessimistic and have a factual basis to your opinion, it's another to just sling meaningless s**t at a wall for the sake of bringing the conversation down to your level. Not even worth a response.

Nobody is upset about it. It's just a fact that he's gotten worse each game. It's a trend. Part of that is because he started out as hot as he did. Some regression was inevitable.

It doesn't change the fact that what he's doing is impressive. The offense has scored 35 or more points with Purdy as the starter as many times as they have with Jimmy in the last 3 seasons combined.

That's in 31 starts for Jimmy vs. 4 for Purdy FYI.

True, agree with you there. The dropped passes were also frustrating, I just look at the two series that could've swung the momentum heavily in the 9ers favor.

Defense was still disappointing as hell today. I really hope it was overconfidence, partying last night or both. Hands down our worst game since KC, but I'm so proud they pulled it out.
CMC is the truth. This whole conversation is over if he's not a 9er.
Purdy was good/ok/good, no complaints. If you add in the rookie element, he was great.

The Raiders did not do us a favor just before the playoffs. Just like the Chiefs, one more blueprint given to the NFC teams. Just about everyone will start throwing deep.

The pro bowl for Hufanga was a bit early in his career. Just speed is not enough.

For f**k sakes just stop. You just praised him blah blah blah for 35 points or more vs Jimmy. But claim he's gotten worse!! Check the O-line, Aaron Banks went down and their D-line was testing McGlinchey all game....they studied the film.

How many times was Purdy sacked?? Not pressured but sacked?? Pressures are caused by the O-line's inability to block or pick up blocks. Brock Purdy's elusiveness were the reason he wasn't sacked.

Honestly, if you truly understood football then you'd understand that he hasn't regressed. Its why Justin Smith said "stats are for losers" - because if you're looking at just stats, you'll never understand how someone is playing.

yes, the team wasn't nearly as crisp, but if you're suggesting that putting up 37 points on offense and leading two game winning drives as regression, well idk what to tell you. Lol

I wanna believe it was partying/hangover and slept late. They looked out of sync pretty much the whole day.

based off what?

QB Rating, a commonly accepted metric that the NFL has used for decades and still uses officially. We can debate all we want about it's effectiveness of isolating QB play from other factors, but it can't be argued that Brock Purdy has declined in that specific metric every single week he's been the starter.

I sure as hell hope it was partying. I think greenlaw was hungover because his play was very uncharacteristic.

if this was the "blueprint" then everyone would be playing us like this since KC. We just were sloppy.

i also think Hufunga is overrated. I REALLY like the kid and think he has a very bright future, but I was shocked he made the pro bowl. He blows coverage often and isn't the best at angles. He isn't bad by any means, but him and Lemminoire are our weak links.
